At Last! Best Riding Suit Add-On EVER!Review by Rex
I was SO excited when I saw this product in my email inbox this morning that I had to get it NOW (thank you, same day delivery). And, I was bit sceptical about whether it was all it was cracked up to be in the product description, but I figured, WTH, it's only $2,112 (plus $1,328 for the personal delivery courier service), what have I got to lose? The answer: NOTHING. It's fantastic. 1) the coffee maker: this is the most essential item not already part of Aerostich riding gear. But get this: you can program it to whip up a fresh shot of espresso at EVERY STOPLIGHT! (search online for the best deal on a Stoplight Distance/TimeToBrew Detector Analyzer, retails for about $423; also, CamelBak is in the process of developing a special Brew Delivery System with both oral and intravenous options for the rider. Release date and pricing TBA.). 2) Emergency parachute: sounds ridiculous at first, but if you've ever suffered the horror of running over the side of a canyon road with a 462' (or higher) drop, then you'll love this B.A.S.E.-jump quality chute. (FYI: you have to hold the drogue chute in your clutch hand and it tends to deploy at at about 71mph. Again, get the optional Rapid Altitude Change Detector & Chute Deployment Device, online starting at $684.). 3) Universal nightlight holders: done and done! Works great, no slippage, it'll even hold one of those giant rectangular 6 volt flashlights (remember: size matters!). The optional Universal Flashlight Remote Control is a steal at $193 and you can just Velcro it right to your faceshield. 4) Deployable chaff screens: finally, a way to effectively elude your state's Highway Patrol during high-speed chases. Especially effective when deployed immediately before making a last second dive for an off-ramp. Also, test the system to make sure all the flaming chaff (yes! it's on fire, just like from jet fighter!) clears your motorcycle soft luggage--once Cordura catches on fire, you're in trouble. (Refills are only $58 each, but long-distance riders should get the, yes, optional Deployable Chaff Screen Speed loader (good for 4 shots) for $326.) 5) Calibrated phase-change monitors: I have no idea what this does but I think it enables you to shift into parallel universes. It sounds exciting but be careful--not every universe is ruled by the same laws of physics as ours and if you get into trouble, your cellphone roaming service either won't work or will charge $10,000s per second to make the connection. 6) SCUBA tank attachment points: admittedly, here in Los Angeles, that's usually just overkill, but last month, there was one day where we had a downpour of over 1" of rain per hour (for approximate 1.5 hours) so good to have. Do your own research to determine the SCUBA gear best for your type of riding. Final analysis (each score out of 5*): Value: 6* ($2,112 for the package, $1,328 for delivery, $423, $1,626 for add-ons (not including SCUBA gear or interdimensional cellphone communications plan); TOTAL: $5,066 (a small price to pay to the envy of all other riders too small-minded to purchase this). USAGE: 4* (again, not so sure about using the Calibrated phase change monitors). OVERALL: 17* (I'd give it more but I want to stay objective about it). Not getting your own system is just plain un-American. (Posted on 4/1/16)
