Aerostich Warm Wrap Grips #103

These thin, electrically heated grip pads are made of heat and moisture resistant material and securely wrap over your grips with hook & loop. Enjoy riding with warm hands on even the coldest days, without having to install replacement electric grips. Current draw is only 1.6 amps and they pack away easily when not needed. Heated grip pads let you wear lighter gloves for greater control feel on cold days. You can leave them on all winter if you want to. Standard (36" wide handlebars), Long (44" wide handlebars). 22 watts.

Product Reviews

Great product. Easy installation. Low current draw. I can run the grip heaters and the Kanetsu AirVantage Vest at the same time on a KLR with a stock, wimpy charging system. The main thing with these or any grip heating system is to turn them on before your hands feel cold, or you will forever be playing catch up.

Great for temporary use if you don't want to modify your grips for only 1 or 2 days of use. Not recommended for regular use; they just don't hold up. I've gone through 2 sets, neither one lasted a year.

The connection between the wiring harness & the resistive strips was the failure point both times. The connection isn't rugged enough to endure much movement at the throttle (yes, I left plenty of slack in the wire & didn't pinch anything).

Aerostich customer service was very willing to replace them, but the first set failed in the middle of a solo cross-country ride and I couldn't wait on a shipment. When the second set failed I decided to look for something more rugged.

Yes, they do slide around a bit. It's not bad if you're willing to twist them back every now & again.

The heat output was decent for my hands down to around freezing. Freeway speeds below freezing could use more heat (along with a good wind deflector for the fingers). -Stephen Lee Monday, May 5, 2008

Only worked for one hour. Then kept on blowing the fuse. Also way to much movement around the hand grips while working the throttle. I'm trying to modifie the wraps with a reostat to regulate the amount of current. -Ray Charles Monday, May 5, 2008
