Ahh yes - it tis rare that one reads the directions, or on this case hints first. As John D. did I reinforced the suction cups with clear (packaging) tape, but neglected to add the extra loops of thread. As a result my tiger tail is somewhere in the Snowy Mountain Range of Wyoming (which tis a tale in itself).
Otherwise lasted winter and summer for 5 or 6000 miles, rain, snow and shine.
Have found it is hard for border guards to take one seriously when appear at their booth driving a sidecar rig, with eyes and sporting a helmet with ears and a tail.

I bought a set of the cat ears with the tail, and loved them so much that I got a set of the pig ears for my boyfriend. I have had absolutely no problem with them falling off, but I did notice that they got dirty, so I washed them with my clothes, and dried them in the dryer -- the suction cups stuck to the sides of the dryer, and then I just reattached the ears to my helmet!!
Unfortunately the b/f can't find his ears, so I am ordering him a new set of pig ears-this time with the tail as the tail wasn't an option when I got them the first time. -Pamela McClaren
If they notice my tiger ears then they see me! Women and kids love them! I just wish they had these when I was single. Lots of women chat me up, take my picture, or have their picture taken with me. -- I also added some extra turns of thread to hold the ear to the suction cup when one started to pull the small factory knot through the fabric. One and one half years of daily riding and 8,000 miles so far, but I also used Scotch tape over the suction cups since one was slightly warped. -John Deerkop
4600 miles in two weeks with tiger ears and tail. Even the MT and AZ highway patrols liked them. -Andre Espaillat
I have owned two sets of the dog ears, and they certainly get attention. My one recommendation is that you sew extra loops between the ear and the suction cups - I've lost 3 ears that seperated from the suction cup.
But I love 'em, and am ordering yet another set now!

I have been commuting with these for two years (assorted different ones, depending on my mood). I have a cult following. I swear that these are actually safety gear...if they're pointing and laughing, they're not running me over. And, every kid on the road is going, "Mom! Look at the motorcycle!" Worth every penny and then some. -Kyri Comyn
These are the BOMB! I got the tiger ears and tail for my roadtrip next week but they're a blast to wear commuting around town. But after reading the reviews about the suction cups I decided to use industrial strength Velcro to attach them. I haven't lost any appendages yet. And as goofy and funny as they look, I figure they're one more way to stay visible to cell phone yappin'-latte drinkin'-SUV drivin' yahoos out there. -Gixxie
these are soo cute! i got the bunny ears a while back from here, and got lots of compliments. finger-pointings by children (and others) on the street while riding comes with the territory. one of the ears keeps falling off though when the helmet is off, may be lacking some moisture. haven't fallen off yet while riding though. -scootiePuff
My ears stuck on amazingly well, but then I took them off one day, put them back on hurriedly, and lost an ear on the way to work. I'm ordering a second set, so I'll have a spare ear and tail; I think if I'd wet the suction cups I wouldn't have lost that ear. But otherwise, you can almost pick up the helmet with that ear. -David Newcomb
I've had my ears going on two years. My original set is the black & white cat ears/tail, picked up at WingDing '04. Next came the pig ears/tail - mainly due to our license plate "DUH PIG" ... My husband's call sign is BAD PIG (yes, he's LEO) and they are good for lots of thumbs up from drivers. Alas, I lost a pig ear recently, but the tail is a great addition sticking out from under the license plate! (Wish I had thought of Seth's solution!) -Sherri
How can you take a "biker" seriously when they're wearing bunny ears and riding a Pacific Coast? Always good for a laugh. A little string serves as a "safety wire" through the suction cups and down to the helmet headset connector to prevent the lose of an ear. (I know a great microsurgeon, just in case!) Keeping them clean is an issue. Consuming two pairs a year, depending on use and weather, is typical. -Seth Stern
I purchased the tiger ears and tail for my Bad Girls Road Trip around Lake Superior. While the ears garnered smiles and waves, the fun was short-lived. While the ears and tail stayed attached the first day of our 4-day trip, I lost an ear - doing only 55 MPH - on the 2nd day. Somewhere in the construction zones of Michigan, there's a lone tiger ear. You should remove the "tested to 175 MPH" language. They may stick in a wind tunnel. They don't stick in the real world. -Patricia Miller
