High Tech Cot #4105

Sleep in bed-like comfort with this lightweight cot. Packs small, so it’s convenient for taking along. Set up is quick and painless. When assembled, it stands supported by bowed trusses 4” off the ground, so you can sleep on your stomach, back, and even on your side in suspended comfort. If your back can’t handle the cold hard ground, or if you’re tired of sliding off of your sleep pad in the middle of the night, this cot provides the perfect solution. Sleeps cool in hot weather by allowing air to circulate below you, or combine with a thermarest pad for extreme comfort and added insulation on cold nights. Low profile design so you can even place it underneath your tent. Inside the tent, it will not damage the floor, and outside the tent, no ground cloth is needed. You can walk across the cot without harming it. If you sit on it, your butt will sit on the ground, but when you lay down, you float above the ground. Even if you’re 7’ tall, you’ll sleep great because there are no poles across the ends to hit your head or feet. Also might make a nice parasail when combined with skates and a frozen lake (?). Ultralight aluminum and polycarbonite construction. Supports up to 325 lbs. Comes with carrying bag. 74"×25"×4.5" (set up), 16"×5" (packed), 48 oz. Grey.

  • Ultralight 3lbs for big-man 325lb weight rating.
  • No end bars -- tall guys sleep great too.
  • 3 minute assembly, kids can do it.
  • Quiet sleeping -- no pins, bolts, or rivets.

  • Total weight in carry bag - 3lbs [1360gm].
  • One or 2 cots fit inside 16"x5" carry bag.

Product Reviews

One of the best products ever for the touring motorcyle.

Very lightweight, packs up small, a product that does what it says it will.

Expensive but worth it if you are touring and camping out. -Larry Clapp Wednesday, July 16, 2008

I slept a total of seven nights on this cot so far. The first few nights of sleep were alright. But in the back of my mind I kept thinking..."I spent how much on this cot?"...After the second night I decided to put my sleeping pad on top of the cot. WOW...now it is more comfortable than my bed at home. The sleeping pad on top made a world of difference. I will never leave home on a camping trip without this cot.
Note: The instructions state to place the cot under your tent as the feet can eventually rub through the floor of your tent. I used the fussy side of adhesive hook and loop on the feet of my cot and feel this is sufficient to keep any undo wearing on the floor of my tent. -Dennis Schultz Thursday, June 26, 2008

As advertised, it packs smaller and lighter than anything I've owned. Used it on a 16 day trip about 12-13 times. Only problem was that 2 of the ferrules (the male part that inserts into the carbon poles) popped out and lodged into the next pole section. As the only force doing this was the pull of the shock cord, I checked the others and 2 more easily pulled out. After applying a 2 part epoxy, no further problem.
Great design, but for $180 I'd expect something more than Elmers.
