If you fancy THE classic traditional biker stuff but demand modern venting, TF2 technical armor and Scotchlite reflective areas, then the Falstaff ought to do it, mate... The patterning and design details are identical to our refined and proven Gore-Tex Cordura Darien. The Falstaff's authentic fabric is exactly the same 100% English waxed cotton as the original gear uses. It is highly durable and exceptionally comfortable. We've added a full sewn-in 100% cotton lining with two huge inside pockets, a soft ultrasuede faced collar, and an oversized cargo pocket behind the back reflective. Helping it to be more comfortable to wear in our American hot summers are the Darien's underarm and back vents. The TF2 armor helps provide crash performance, and the abrasion resistance of waxed cotton (when compared to the Darien's 500 denier cordura) is better than you'd think. The Falstaff's looks, comfort and it's overall character improves as you wear it. We build them ourselves, carefully and strongly so yours will last a good long time. Each Falstaff jacket also accepts the zip-in Darien fleece liner jacket, Roadcrafter hook and loop back pad, or the zip-in Kanetsu Electric Vest. These options are available separately. Yeah, it's heavier, warmer wearing, and less abrasion resistant than the Darien Jacket, but so what? It looks and feels good, especially on a classic machine.
