Product Description

Subtitled “The Best of Peter Egan from Cycle World Magazine’, this book spans the man’s writings for that publication, beginning in 1977 and continuing to the present day. 21 articles are in the first volume, all written in Egan’s flawless, evocative prose that describes everything from the history of the leather jacket, to how many bikes should a person really have in their garage to the nearly lost art of the kickstart. Resonant with all riders, he has a common, familiar touch that is a joy to read and reminds us of why we ride, and why it’s so good. By Peter Egan. Softbound, 6.5"×9.5". 320 pp., b&w illus.

Relief from everydayReview by cyberdragon
I always enjoyed reading Peter Egan in Cycle world columns. I was very pleased when my wife bought Leanings for my birthday. I really enjoy being able to read a chapter at a time and lay it down until the next encounter. A perfect before bed or killing time until an appointment book. Funny, insightful and at times sad and eye opening. Egan at his best. (Posted on 6/19/11)
Un-set-down-ableReview by Nick
Since I received the book in the mail I cannot set it down. I am new to both Peter Egan and Cycle World magazine but not to cycles. Peter describes his trips in such a way that you find yourself planning your next trip immediately. I've had the book for just over a week and read it every day. (Posted on 1/24/10)
