Details

Merging the quest for fine-tuned individuality head-on with a blend of classic materials and hand-crafted modern design to create the embodiment of an authentic riders’ jacket. Perfect, whether you are a motorcyclist who values independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of indie-rock, creative art and witty banter...or are a rider looking for a handmade jacket crafted from traditional, time-tested authentic English waxed cotton fabric, in a style that has continually evolved over the last 30 years. Simultaneously edgy and effortlessly cool, while providing a superior fit, unmatched comfort and extreme performance when riding through all-weather, over any distance to every destination. Beard, earrings and tattoo accoutrement are optional.

Beginning with pockets, vents, armor and details from the proven design of the Roadcrafter Classic, the Cousin Jeremy Jacket is constructed from a supple and durable 10 oz. English waxed cotton fabric outer, with a second layer of waxed cotton incorporated for added abrasion protection at the elbow and shoulders. For added comfort it is fully lined with a black supernyl lining on the inside of the jacket. Removable TF3 armor is included in the shoulders and elbows, with pre-installed loop integrated into the liner for easily adding optional back armor. The durable, waterproof waxed cotton fabric is supple and wonderful for all day wear. Underarm zips, a two-way zippered back vent and adjustable dual height collar allow excellent venting for warm riding days. Zipped up with a thermal layer underneath will keep you warm and protected even in the coolest riding weather.

Nine outer and one inner pocket allow ample storage for your everyday carry items, including a large cargo pocket on the left chest with an integrated supernyl stash pocket inside for quick access to cash, cards, or phone. A zippered pocket on the right forearm is great for stashing change, keys or earplugs. Attached and hidden under the logo pocket flap on the left chest pocket is a helmet holder carabiner, and the pass-thru design behind this pocket allows for convenient glove storage when gassing up or spending time off-bike. Large left and right, lower cargo pockets feature fold-over flaps for secure stowage. The flaps covering the back vent area and the front logo pocket are made from the same color and weight fabric as the jacket body, but for riders wanting additional nighttime visibility, these flaps can be sewn with optional 3M Scotchlight® Reflective material.

Choose from base jacket and pant colors available in Black or Brown 10 oz. Waxed Cotton fabric, and select from Black or Brown 10oz. fabric added to the shoulder and elbow areas for increased abrasion protection. Sizes: Men's 34, 36–54 short, regular or long. Women's sizes 2-20 short, regular or long. Made in USA

Between Sizes:

Overall length* difference is 1 14".

  • Example - 42 (S, R or L) suit is 1 14" longer (taller) overall than a size 40 (S, R or L) suit.

Short to Regular:

Overall length* difference is 3".

  • Example - A 42S is 3" shorter than a 42R.
  • Leg length difference is +1" above & +12" below the knee. The remaining 1 12" is in the Torso.
  • Sleeve difference is 1 14", shoulder to wrist.

Regular to Tall:

Overall length* difference is 2".

  • Example - A 42L is 2" longer (taller) than a 42R.
  • Leg length difference is +12" above knee & +12" below the knee. The remaining 1" is in the Torso.
  • Sleeve difference is 1".

* Overall length = collar to ankle

We can adjust the sleeve lengths, elbow armor position, leg length, knee armor position, and many other variables, but we cannot change the body/torso length. For semi-custom fitted garments, we start with the body/torso size that is the closest and change the arms and legs as needed.

A great fit is critical to the long-term enjoyment and satisfaction of any garment. This is something we do better than anyone else with graded off the rack sizes. There are about 32 standard R-3 sizes vs. about 8 with typical S, M, L, XL grading. If the crotch in an R-3 is slightly binding, the garment will never have a chance to become your 'go to' riding gear, and I'd like it to have that chance.

One piece coveralls are the best gear for day-to-day short-hop utility riding because they work as a complete protection system all in one garment. But like mechanic's and trade-worker's coveralls, for comfort the crotch needs to be low enough to never bind.

Customer Reviews (1)

Superb craftsmanship and qualityReview by Jon
Aerostich Team: I received the CJJ today via FedEx in good shape. From getting out of the box / bag and trying it on I was more and more impressed. My wife Pam was watching (she had reservations about a jacket costing this much) and she was also amazed at the superb craftsmanship and quality. I knew this was the coat when I ordered it, I have had a Roadcrafter Classic Suit since 1984 so I was aware of your products. The fit was perfect, I ordered my sport jacket size (42) and because I am six foot tall I took your advice, ordering a ‘Long’. Initially I was thinking a regular would be better because I didn’t want the length to be bunching about my upper legs. The fit in the chest and back feel comfortable, a perfect fit. The length in not too long for riding, yet the arm length is appropriately long to cover more wrist when reaching for the handlebars. Cousin Jeremy really knew what he was doing. I like the waxed cotton as opposed to wearing animal skins or synthetics. I have had multiple waxed cotton jackets from Filson but they never matched the fit and workmanship of the CJ. Thanks to Hong, Wendy G., Tom/Jake and Oksana for your expertise and care you put into making this item. The work, service and quality are truly appreciated. The jacket is worth every penny and will be used on the roads and byways of Eastern Oregon. Oh, yea, the enclosed hanger was a nice touch.
Sincerely, Jon and Pam P. (Posted on 7/18/17)
