Pecard’s leather care When you ride in leathers your gear is semi-regularly exposed to broiling hot sun, desiccating dry air, cold rain and harsh weather so for long life and water repellency it should be periodically cared for with a quality leather dressing. This is the best one. It’s based on a long-ago refined formula and is ideal for all for colored and black smooth leathers. This leather dressing cleans, polishes, and restores suppleness and provides increased water resistance. It’s also still made (since 1902!) in a small northern Wisconsin town by a family owned independent company that’s was begun to manufacture leather dressings for logging boots, horse-drawn lumbering gear and related industrial equipment of a bygone era. Like all riders, early woodsmen needed to protect their expensive boots and leather gear and stay dry in cold, wet and often harsh environments. Since then it has become a trusted favorite for several generations of motorcycle riders. The quality and performance of this dressing resulted in a great reputation: Lumbermen and hunters swore by it. Factory workers endorsed it, and Admiral Richard E. Byrd specifically chose the boot dressing to protect his crew and their gear on the first expedition to the South Pole! Proven time and time again under even the most brutal conditions, this is a leather dressing you count on. It’s available around the world in experienced cobbler’s workshops, and here. Not for use on suede. Choose 4oz. Bottle or 6 oz. Tub.
