- A good adjunct to the original.Review by John
It had been many years since I read Jupiter's Travels, and I bought this and Dreaming of Jupiter (the 'whatever happened to...' sequel) so reading this first was a good review of the first book and expanded on that work as well. The photos are the reason this book exists of course, and there are many fine photos here, but it must be said that Mr. Simon was learning to be a photographer as well as learning to ride a motorcycle. The motorcycle gave him real time feedback that he didn't get from his photographs (if only he'd had a digital camera), and they're best viewed in bright light.
The photos and the narrative are a worthwhile addition to the first book, but this book can also stand on it's own - as every book must.
The time spent reading and looking at the pictures was time well spent. (Posted on 6/12/15)
