Aerostich cable lock #1177

So far I'm quite happy with this lock's performance, although I'm fairly certain it hasn't yet been tested by a light-fingered lowlife. I have a lock on both a Kaw Versys and a Guzzi Norge. Both mounted in about two minutes to rear seat grab handles. One loop of cable through the handle locks the cable itself to the bike, and positioning the plastic lock leaves the main cable's loops out of the passenger's way. I've had a Darien jacket and two helmets on it already with plenty of leftover cable.As long as the cable loops the grab rails a walkby thief won't be able to steal anything. Just remember to empty your jacket's pockets. Of course a pro gang could winch your bike into a van in about a minute- this lock can't save you from that. It will provide some peace of mind on a meal or sight-seeing stop when your'e separated from your bike for a time. I like it.
