This book is fairly good for beginner to intermediate cooks just starting out. There's a large amount of recipes, but many of these are so basic as to be pretty much useless, and many of the others included more diverse ingredients than I would usually pack.
This isn't really a complaint, but the book is DEFINITELY more backpacking focused than motorcycle camping. There's a lot of overlap but it's still very specialized.
That said, it is a pretty comprehensive reference for everything camp-cooking. There's not only recipes, but nutritional data (and simple explanations of what the data all means) and tips and techniques to make camp cooking easier. I particularly liked the instructions on how to make a simple camp oven for preparing baked goods at a campsite - it'd never have occurred to me that was possible, but their instructions make it easy.
Overall definitely recommended. (Posted on 4/5/12)
