Great Product
Review by John on 7/28/11 -
It took longer to remove the remote from it's packaging than it did to start using. Intuitive controls, does exactly what I had hoped for. Pass through connector is also a huge plus on long trips. I can keep my ipod charged though a powerlet, while still enjoying my tunes! I wanted to "permanently" mount the steering wheel cradle to my FJR's clutch reservoir, and realized how nice this would also work on my bicycle and autos. I called Scosche about ordering an additional cradle and was informed that they don't sell them separately, but to email a copy of my receipt and they would see what could be done. 3 days after emailing Scosche, a new cradle and strap showed up in my mailbox, FREE OF CHARGE!! Great product and even better customer service

does the job
Review by kuri77 on 6/30/11 -
Been using this for a couple of years. Best thing since sliced bread. Mine's velcroed to top of master cylinder cap. Ipod's in jacket. Never fails to connect. If battery dies I can keep it in jacket while charging with 12v plug into passthrough and still keep on listening. Since it goes through plastic I put it in a minidv cassette box with velcro on it for rain use.

waterproof
Review by jymmi on 10/17/10 -
unfortunately for me I wanted something waterproof so I could put my ipod away where it would be safe and dry but the remote isn't waterproof so it defeats the purpose. Its a great idea but they need to make one thats waterproof for those of us who love to ride regardless of the weather we're not all riding bikes made of sugar

final and BEST solution
Review by zigy on 7/12/10 -
forget all the other gizmos out there; this is the ultimate and most useful iPod remote made. i keep iPod in tankbag, wired to Starcom / Autocom, and the above remote simply attached with a 1" square of velcro directly to the inside of the right handguard of my R12GS. there is a security notch on the upper left of the transmitter (its there, but difficult to see in above photo) thru which i run a bit of thin plastic-coated cable looped around the grip where it meets the handguard, just to prevent loss if the velcro should let go, and i can easily remove the transmitter at night. i can operate it with my index finger inside my Held gloves. Now if i could only remember what that page-like control button is for........

I love this... It took ab...
Review by Larry Fitch on 5/12/09 -
I love this... It took about 3 seconds after I took it out of the box to have it hooked up and working.
The problem with the iTouch is - well - the fact that it needs to recognize that you are touching it.. Not possible when wearing gloves. This remote control solves the problem nicely and mounts easily to my ST's handlebar
The only comment I would make to Aerostich is to change the picture on page 113 of the most recent catalog. The smaller picture shows it with a number of cables, but these are not included with the remote control.
