My wife and I have tried four different bike to bike communicator systems and this is by far the best of the lot. Although it has VOX we find it much easier to use with the push-to-talk button (so I can sing without disturbing her tranquility). We are using the Kenwood ProTalk radios (European version) and get about 2mi range max. Installation under the seat (BMW R1200GS and R1150R) is much easier than you think - just go slow and check everything out as you go along. One unit stopped working after a week and a phone call to the UK dealer had a replacement unit in the express post on the same day - fantastic service.

I own two of these systems on on my bmw and another on a honda ... very pleased with performance and service. I use mine for intercom, bike to bike, blue tooth cell phone, Sirius radio and ipod - wouldn't ride without one.
