Wish I had them last month

Review by David on 5/2/12

I recently had a crash while wearing my Aerostitch Darien Jacket and Pants. My shoulder made the first contact with the ground. With the shoulder pads in my jacket my shoulder was completely protected and has no evidence of being in an accident. My back and side however are very sore (cracked rib) due to not having the additional padding. I have put the back pad in my Darien jacket and it feels great. I hope I never need the protection in an actual accident, but it sure feels great to know it is there if I need it!

Back Pad

Review by Arn on 11/29/11

Good coverage. Could not be easier to install (in a Roadcrafter 1 pc). Flexible enough so the suit can still be rolled up for storage. And the belt works great to bind the suit after you roll it up (not the original intention, but ...)! Takes little space in the suit - but it does take some space. In those rare instances where things get too tight because of all the stuff I have on - it is easy to remove. Looked at other options, but all had one or more disadvantages (for me) ... could not roll up the suit, blocked the ventilation, required too much space, was not easy to mount, etc.

Go ahead and order the back pad with your jacket/suit. You won't regret it.

back pad

Review by bernie on 11/7/11

Pad complements the Roadcrafter suit perfectly, adds little to the suit's weight and barely alters the fit. It would be better if the suit came with the pad pre-installed, like most serious riding jackets do, while still being removable.

Good pad

Review by busboy on 10/17/11

After I put it in my Roadcrafter jacket and tried it on I felt like I had a backpack on inside my jacket. 5 minutes later riding my Ninja down the road I had forgot all about it. A big plus is it adds just a little more insulation for these cold fall days here in the Pacific Northwet.

Added Security

Review by Woody on 8/27/11

This is a must-have for any rider. I brought it for my Roadcrafter Light. Installation could not be simpler; remove the hook and loop backer and install. Make sure you order the correct size for the suit or jacket. Does not effect ventilation. Been riding in upper 80s/low 90s since receiving it.

Good protection

Review by Mike on 8/23/11

This back pad offers good protection in the one piece Roadcrafter suit. When wearing it, you can barely feel it. I was afraid it might make it a bit too stiff, but it doesn't. The only issue I ran into is that it makes rolling up the suit a bit more difficult.

Great Pad

Review by Colin on 7/28/11

This is a sweet pad. I wear the Roadcrafter two-piece suit and used to wear it without the pad. Now the suit fits better (doesn't bunch in the front) the ventilation is unaffected and I feel much more secure knowing my spine is protected. TF3 impact foam is off the hook!

Great Pad

This is an extremely well made pad and a "must" for the Darien Jacket. The pad fits perfect.
