Best Bag Ever

Review by Efinref on 5/1/12

Aside from my Goldwing and Ergo II's.......This bag is the best item I have ever purchased. It is big enough for my clothes for 4 days. I have the large hi-viz yellow and strap it on my luggage rack and it gives me extra visibility. In the crazy Atlanta traffic, I believe it was a life saver.

Dry as a LA summer day

Review by Saltywheels on 4/3/12

Just got the bag recently to fit on the rear rack of my trike & wasn't expecting to test it 'wet'. But oh boy oh boy did I !! The recent storms in Los Angeles- 3 days of it- tried their best to wet my gear inside. No such luck!! All dry & snug. Love it!!

So far so good.

Review by John on 3/16/12

I have not used the bag myself yet. But it does seem very well made. My wife used it for a trip and loved it. There was no rain so I can't comment on it's waterproofness.

In The Bag

Review by Steve in VT on 3/12/12

I got a large and a medium in yellow. The medium holds a lot, and the large is positively cavernous. No reason to have stuff hanging off the back or sides anymore.
Likes: Well-made and sturdy; hold a ton; highly visible, easy to attach, can be shrunk or expanded as needed with binder straps, medium fits nicely inside the large for storage.
Dislikes: plastic-hose handles aren't much help (instructions are included for removing them); bags are somewhat slippery and must be securely tied down; no instructions included (other than as noted above). They probably shouldn't be carried by the metal "lips" of the closure. And if the carry ring ends up under the binder buckle, roll it the other way.

nothing better than these

Review by twowheels on 10/1/11

Just returned from a 2600 mile sojourn from SF to Canada and back. I had two of these bags on the back of my 1200GS and it's the perfect way to pack. The bags performed flawlessly and they look like ones I can use for years to come. Glad I chose them.

bomb-proof

Review by Scott on 9/20/11

I have been using this tail bag regularly since 1997. I has withstood a lot of hard use and has never been torn nor have any straps or buckles been damaged. In addition to service as a tail bag, It is scuffed from use, but never a drop of water has entered the bag. I use it to carry my SLR camera, helmet and riding suit (remove the armor to pack down) as a carry-on for overseas tours. Hint - Improve your rear-ward conspicuity by selecting the yellow or red bag.

Love it!

Review by Mike on 9/5/11

This bag is perfect for short or longer trips. The large bag
straps on the passenger seat of my RT easily and dose not extend pass the top case for less wind drag. It seems very durable and is certainly water proof. A 400 mi. day in all rain proved it. Highly recommended.

so far i love it...

Review by Feest on 9/3/11

Haven't had it through a really good gullywasher yet - but so far i love the bag. I bought the big one - and it fits nicely right across the pillon seat of my K1600GTL. I use Rok straps to ensure it's extra secure - right to the hand holds on the seat. It's an extra trunk with lots of room when i'm running alone - love it - and i love knowing that it's completely waterproof.

Best way to travel

Review by Chuck on 7/24/11

I bought the large bags, one for me and one for my wife. They fit great on the backs of our BMW R1200RT and F800ST. I just used the saddlebags on the bikes for the jackets I was not using like my colder weather stuff as it was 100+ degrees for the whole trip. I brought the colder gear just in case as you never know. I strapped the bags to the bikes with the ROK straps and they worked better than expected. At the end of a long day, just undo two straps and head to the hotel room. No worry about scratching paint matched saddlebags, no messing with large bulky saddlebags, just grab the bag and go. They held all we needed for 10 days on the road through rain, heat, and very aggressive riding. In the morning, just pack them up, roll the top, and off you go. I ordered black though and the bag heated up enough to melt my deodorant but my hairbrush smells great and will never perspire. My wife got the yellow one and did not experience this. Perhaps white bags should be offered. I can not recommend them enough and I can use them on kayak trips.
