I bought these just before leaving on an 11,500 mile trip around the U.S. and Canada that included a couple of Iron Butt rides (1000 and 1500 mile days). They were used in everything from hot weather (109 degrees F) to rain/thunderstorms.
Overalll they did what they were supposed to do. My hands were protected and they ran pretty cool, all things considered. Yes, they do run a bit small so order a size larger than usual. My only complaint is that the thumb area started to look rather ratty fairly quickly, much like the fabric was starting to fray. The glove didn't fail, rip or anything like that, just doesn't look as nice as I think it should. (Posted on 7/30/09)
Bought the Summer Vegans in the spring and I've worn them all summer. The velcro was starting to show wear, but with as much use as I've gotten out of them, it wasn't unexpected. Then recently I took a tumble in a parking lot when an SUV driver turned into me, knocked me off my ride and drove over the front wheel. I was wearing a Roadcrafter suit, Arai full-face, and the Summer Vegan gloves. I had NO injuries! The only damage to me was a tear in the palm of my right glove that didn't extend through to my palm. Unfortunately, I can't say the same of my bike. Front wheel & brake rotor are bent, as well as the brake handle. I will NOT leave the garage without suiting up. I have no doubt that the Aerostich products I was wearing at the time saved me from injury. (Posted on 11/5/08)
This is my second pair of summer vegans that I purchased for my wife.. The older model that I have performed great on a 10,000 mile trip last year... For various reasons (coolness, dry quickly, etc.) I prefer them to my previous leather ones... good product...

My fellow Vegan motorcyclists these are the gloves you've been searching for! Previously finding a protective pair of leather free motorcycle gloves was incredibly difficult, bordering on impossible. Until Aerostich made these available the alternatives were limited and unsafe. Mechanics gloves are fine for working on your bike but not for riding it! Good ventilation without sacrificing safety makes these gloves perfect for summer rides. I recommend them to anyone who refuses to ride unprotected in hot weather. (Posted on 6/27/08)
I love these gloves! Very comfortable to wear for hours at a time. As with all Aerostitch gear, they're made extremely well, and I feel safe wearing them, especially with the armor reinforcements in the knuckles. The cuffs on these end just at the wrist, so if you need something longer than that, try the 3 season vegan instead. On my jacket, the cuffs on these gloves tucks into the jacket cuffs just fine. Just took the gloves out today to break them in. I should not have used a 3 hour ride to do it ;). They fit great and my hands were comfortable the whole time. They were a little snug when I started out, but they managed to "stretch" out. I have been looking for a decent pair of warm weather gloves for a while. These fit the bill! I'm throwing away the $2.00 warehouse leather gloves I've used the last two years. I'm going to pick up the regular Vegan's in the fall for the cooler days. Worth every penny and then some.
