Just received my Hot Weather Vegan Gloves. I like the overall feel of the gloves although the weather has not been hot enough yet to testify as to the hot weather performance. Like the description however and many reviews, they DO RUN SMALL. Make sure you order 1 to 2 sizes larger than you normally would. (Posted on 3/26/13)
I have not actually tasted these gloves, so I can not vouch for the veganness of these gloves. However I can vouch for how small the sizes run and that is very small. I ordered the XL and I am unable to wear them for more than an hour at a time, then have to switch gloves for the day. If they do not stretch out, I will have to find something else. THEY ARE HOT! I bought them because I have the 3 season version and really like them and I also wanted more protection than my current summer weight gloves. They fit a little close, but I am hoping they stretch out a little. I like the protection, but unfortuntately they do not breathe particularly well. Perhaps I will wear them more when the weather cools... (Posted on 7/6/12)
I just received these gloves in the mail. First impressions: I like the appearance with no obnoxious graphics and the always cool all black. I wear a medium in most gloves, got these in a large as suggested and am happy I did. These gloves are made in China! One of the things I like most about Aerostich is most of the products they carry that are their brand are USA made. Not the case with these gloves. I think Aerostich should clearly label where all of their products are made on the website. I'll report back as to the longevity/durability of these gloves at a later date. (Posted on 6/27/12)
I've found these gloves to be a good quality leather alternative. They're comfortable, look good and are relatively cool, even when riding on a hot Australian Summer day.
The only negative thing I would say about them would be that the smallest size is still just a little too big for me, hopefully with more women riding everyday Aerostitch will bring out some smaller ladies sizes and when they do I'll be buying them too!! :) (Posted on 1/25/12)
I have had these guys for about 2 yrs, I think? they don't seem especially cool or super good at flowing air or anything, but they are light and comfy all of the time, even when it's hot. I live in Northern Ca and I wear them almost all year, only when it gets really cold do I switch them out and only because I need to stop wind from going up my sleeve with gauntleted gloves. they are warm when it's a bit chilly and cool when it's a bit hot. def my fave gloves so far. (20 yrs. riding) yeah, the thumb frays up pretty bad after a bit, I think from friction with the edge of your jacket. the punk rock fix- a lighter. cook those little fuzzies down, good as new. and I dig the armored knuckles. handy for teaching lessons, and totally unnoticeable. some other ones have a huge chunk sticking up across the knucks, annoying and clunky. these are nice and form fitting, but will do damage to what they hit, not your hand, if road rage gets the best of you. try hitting the panel of the car that almost kills you instead of the face of the driver. either way, you'll barely feel it. and feel better. the nice solid, therapeutic whack from punching something doesn't have to be so painful anymore! thanks Aerostich. As advised I ordered one size larger than I normally wear. They were extremely tight the 1st couple of days but eventually stretched out enough to be comfortable. Also, maybe because I had to order one size larger, the fore fingers are about a half inch to long....not good if your are trying to push small buttons (i.e. stereo, GPS, etc.) (Posted on 10/6/11)
This summer in south MS it's 96 and the humidity is almost as high. The fit is very good as
stated. To me they are hotter, almost like a wetsuit glove if you know. They are not uncomfortable when wet though, and dry without stiffness. (Posted on 8/28/11)
I searched the internet far and low for a good pair of synthetic gloves that were going to be reliable and safe - These gloves are EXACTLY that! Plus they look great with the all black materials and without the name plastered all over it which is always great when a company goes subtle with branding. I also love the fact that they specifically mentioned that the gloves are vegan in the naming of the item.
Great gloves! Highly recommended. (Posted on 8/28/11)
