Vegan Summer Gloves
Review by Amanda on 1/25/12 -
I've found these gloves to be a good quality leather alternative. They're comfortable, look good and are relatively cool, even when riding on a hot Australian Summer day.
The only negative thing I would say about them would be that the smallest size is still just a little too big for me, hopefully with more women riding everyday Aerostitch will bring out some smaller ladies sizes and when they do I'll be buying them too!! :)

vegan gloves
Review by Greasy on 11/11/11 -
I have had these guys for about 2 yrs, I think? they don't seem especially cool or super good at flowing air or anything, but they are light and comfy all of the time, even when it's hot. I live in Northern Ca and I wear them almost all year, only when it gets really cold do I switch them out and only because I need to stop wind from going up my sleeve with gauntleted gloves. they are warm when it's a bit chilly and cool when it's a bit hot. def my fave gloves so far. (20 yrs. riding) yeah, the thumb frays up pretty bad after a bit, I think from friction with the edge of your jacket. the punk rock fix- a lighter. cook those little fuzzies down, good as new. and I dig the armored knuckles. handy for teaching lessons, and totally unnoticeable. some other ones have a huge chunk sticking up across the knucks, annoying and clunky. these are nice and form fitting, but will do damage to what they hit, not your hand, if road rage gets the best of you. try hitting the panel of the car that almost kills you instead of the face of the driver. either way, you'll barely feel it. and feel better. the nice solid, therapeutic whack from punching something doesn't have to be so painful anymore! thanks Aerostich.

Bought the Summer Vegans ...
Review by Mark on 10/6/11 -
As advised I ordered one size larger than I normally wear. They were extremely tight the 1st couple of days but eventually stretched out enough to be comfortable. Also, maybe because I had to order one size larger, the fore fingers are about a half inch to long....not good if your are trying to push small buttons (i.e. stereo, GPS, etc.)

Gloves are quality the whole way around. A good pair of gloves for warmer weather riding.

maybe cooler weather vegans
Review by dannyb on 8/28/11 -
This summer in south MS it's 96 and the humidity is almost as high. The fit is very good as
stated. To me they are hotter, almost like a wetsuit glove if you know. They are not uncomfortable when wet though, and dry without stiffness.

Awesome!
Review by Mitch. on 8/28/11 -
I searched the internet far and low for a good pair of synthetic gloves that were going to be reliable and safe - These gloves are EXACTLY that! Plus they look great with the all black materials and without the name plastered all over it which is always great when a company goes subtle with branding. I also love the fact that they specifically mentioned that the gloves are vegan in the naming of the item.
Great gloves! Highly recommended.

One year review
Review by Doc B on 8/16/11 -
I've used these gloves for riding in warmer weather and, in general, am quite pleased with them. The fit is pretty good, once they finally stretched out.
My experience is that the gloves are good in intermediate to warm temperatures - say 65-85 degrees. For hotter weather, the air penetration in the glove isn't sufficient to be fully comfortable (at least for my taste).
The only significant gripe about the gloves is that once my hands are damp with perspiration, the glove can be rather a hassle to put on. In particular, the edge on the back of your hand tends to roll-up inside the glove. While this is a minor pain with the first glove, it can be a particular problem with the "second" glove. As a result, I've gotten into the habit of tugging on the cloth tag that is sewn inside the back of the glove to help in unrolling the edge. This is probably not the best treatment for the glove but ultimately helps in resolving the roll-up problem with a bit of work (picture riding partners looking on, with ill-disguised impatience, while you futz with the gloves).
All that said, I'll probably purchase a set of the gauntlets cool weather riding as, overall, I like the glove.

Comfy, cool, nice glove
Review by David on 7/19/11 -
These gloves fit great right out of the gate, ventilate nicely, and the short cuff fits nicely at the edge of my jacket sleeve. The Kevlar reinforcement ends up being listed as only 10%, and there is o indication as to where the Kevlar is actually located. An earlier reviewer mention the protection in a 40mph get off, but I can't help but wonder if the protection is really all that great. But I have to admit these gloves are really comfortable in hot weather, so I guess I'll live on the edge when it's hot out.

Top-notch quality, adequately cool
Review by Edgar on 7/17/11 -
I expect better-than-average quality from Aerostich, but these are impressive. Their excellent quality, in both materials and construction, jumped out at me as soon as I opened the box.
They're definitely cooler than any of my leather gloves, and they don't get hard to remove when I sweat in them. They are not quite as comfortably cool as a certain other brand's mesh glove with a thin leather palm, but they have two advantages over the mesh ones: these remain comfortable when wet, and I feel more confident of their abrasion resistance. (Three advantages if you count not bleeding black dye everywhere.)
The blurb isn't kidding when it warns to buy a size larger than normal. My hands are very slender, but these gloves in size large are just barely big enough. I figure most men will probably need X-Large, and many would need XXL, which isn't offered.

A great alternative to leather
Review by pudge on 1/27/11 -
I've always liked the snug feel of a good pair of deerskin leather gloves but I hated having to use a nail brush to rub off the dye that would bleed onto my hands on a hot day. I also found that my sweat would break down the leather over the course of a summer. These synthetic gloves are great. They are machine washable and I get about two years use out of a pair before I would replace them. The gloves wear in the same manner described in other reviews; frayed thumbs and worn velcro straps.
