Nolan Helmet N-COm
Review by Moto-Rama on 10/17/11 -
The helmet itself is great, comfortable, easy to get in and out of, good ventilation etc.
But the Basic Com system has a few annoying things:
The cable doesn't fit standard mini-rca stereo jacks, you have to plug it part of the way in to make it work.
The Com system refuses to work with my phone, even with the "special cable" that came with it. P.I.A.
But the helmet is good.

Way better than interior sun visor on the 103
Review by Kathy R on 10/29/09 -
I've got about 8,200 miles on this one and it's perfect for me. The sun visor ratchets, which allows me to place it like an above my eyes, letting me avoid looking through another layher of plastic. I'm very disappointed that Nolan is joining the crowd (103) and moving the visor to the interior of the helmet. That does not ratchet. You either have the sun shade down or you don't. That is a real PITA when you are on twisties with shade in the corners and sun blasting you on the flats. Yeah, the 102 is not a quiet helmet, but I don't care. I have earplugs. I just want my exterior ratcheting sun visor back in production.

I purchased the N102 two ...
Review by LEBARON CHAMBERS on 3/20/09 -
I purchased the N102 two months ago and have ridden about 500 miles with it. I am impressed with the style, lightness, quality and fit. The center positioned latch is quick and easy, only requiring one hand,so the other hand is free to stay on the handlebar.
The ouick release velour padded retention strap is such a great feature and high quality.
Being able to don the helmut without removing my eyeglasses is a joy of convenience.
I am 62 years young and this Nolan has me grinning from ear to ear. If it fits you , I recommend that you seriously consider the buy.

I purchase for 2000 mile ...
Review by Tyler Brown on 2/12/09 -
I purchase for 2000 mile ride throughout the southeast US. My findings...
Short front to back - I needed a larger size front to back but a larger size would not have fit side to side.
Build quality/design - The 'weatherstripping' around the rising chin bar was peeled away after the first day. The outer sun shield really did it's job without what some claimed was a constant vibration and noise (well over 100mph). Venting is good in dry environments but in humidity the face-shield required a slight opening to keep from fogging. Fastener was AWESOME - I hate D rings, this also goes for the chin bar opening mechanism.
Like any 'flip-up' this is NOT a quiet helmet but it's much better than my HJC Symax. The padding was good.
Overall I would recommend this helmet to anyone who TRIES IT ON FIRST. DON'T PULL A ME AND ORDER FROM THE NET WITHOUT PUTTING ONE ON.
As for the Ncom system. It's really expensive and I didn't buy it. The helmet looks like it would be easy to install though.
