This is a great bag! Even though I'm a tad over 6 feet, I fit perfectly! Luxurious, and very warm (almost TOO warm for full-on summer use!) Roomy enough for a mummy design. The only downside is that it doesn't pack very small. (Posted on 10/28/13)
I've had this bag for 5 years now. It's been used extensively throughout the Great Lakes states in temperatures from 75 down to the mid 30's (fahrenheit).
This bag is extremely well constructed and will give many years of rugged service if cared for - plus Wiggy's bags have a lifetime warranty and are made in USA.
The zipper is a nice robust one that doesn't jam up too easily. I love that the fill (lamilite) never loses it's loft in storage, or ever, really. It just bounces back to the way it was when the bag was new.
On the coldest nights I spent in this bag it was around 35 degrees and raining. I was in a small tent on a small pad and wore my Aerostich fleece pants, warm socks, Aerostich fleece pullover, a down vest and a stocking cap. I stayed TOASTY warm and dry for three nights that way.
This bag does take up some room in a stuff sack. It's not nearly as bulky as a department store bag, but it doesn't pack to nothing like an ultralight backpacker bag either. To me, that's a trade off I'm willing to make for the assurance that I'll be warm at night. (Posted on 8/24/13)
