Bar End Helmet Hook

I have a very extensive experience with the helmet hook (since it first came out) and I'd like to address some concerns. First, let me be very clear and say that it will work with ALL types of straps, even ratcheting straps. I will leave my email if anyone needs help and you can email me and ask for pics or explanation. Again, I've had this and I've seen it all since 2013.
I'm reachable at info @ total designz dot com and I hope that Aerostich doesn't have a problem with this.

Anyway, finding a lock (Pavlov)
I believe Aeorostich DOES have locks and if not, ask them and they'll contact the seller who HAS perfectly fitting lock. Washer is ONLY there if you have something at the bar end that is thicker than a bolt, then you CAN remove it.
If hook spins, tighten more or put a few o rings to squeeze it tight. This is not normal but that also depends on the setup you have as they will all vary.

All you have to do is slowly heat up the helmet hook and bend it out to fit both your d rings.

Not sure why you say it's too large but you can send an email to me with a few pics and I'll try to figure it out for ya. I've seen lots of Beemers with them so unless there's something unusual and as you know, BMW DOES do weird stuff all the time, it should work.

This device is too large for the BMW handgrip.

I found both D-hooks didn't fit with any convenience but using only one worked just fine. Better than using the mirror.

I kept having to just hang helmet on handlebars and fearing it would slide off. So this takes care of that problem. Secure and won't drop. I run a small wire cable lock through my helmet and around bike somewhere to prevent easy theft. Hook super easy to install. Glad I bought this.

Looking for somewhere safe to leave your helmet this small gadget is spot on and so easy to fit in less than five minutes.

Overall a useful add-on. Finding a padlock to fit this proved a bit problematic. Lock hasp must be at least 1-1/12 inches to completely go through both sides and be lockable. Also had to drill holes larger to fit standard padlock. Easy to do as it is tough but soft plastic. Comes fitted with washer that goes against bar end for tight fit. Instructions state washer may be popped out for tighter fit but I did not attempt this. Hook will still spin freely when tightened and used with washer. Used alot when I'm in a hurry instead of locking helmet up in top case. Nice theft deterrence but like all security measures could be defeated by a determined thief. If your ride lacks a helmet hook and you're looking for convenience, this is for you.
