  1. Perfect accessory for my Zero with Charge Tank
When I had the Charge Tank added to my Zero S, I lost the built-in storage compartment where a normal motorcycle's gas tank would be. I needed some place to secure my insurance card and this clever little item was PERFECT.

  2. Just what I was looking for
4 wheeler doesn't have a glove compartment. Using this as a permanent insurance and registration holder. Easy install with a Phillips screwdriver and a wrench. Used silicone on both flat sides of the 4 wheeler and product to keep it watertight around the bolt holes. After product was installed, it doesn't look tacky or redneckish..... Shipping to my place of residence was astronomical fast.

  3. Nice little unit
Very slick little unit. I like the fact that it is very hard to notice. Great place to put registration and insurance card. Lock is a bit tricky to put together and make sure you have the locking tab in the correct position. Overall a great idea.

  4. useful and handy
I have one and like it. When fully loaded it is a pain to remove luggage to get my seat off to get to where the registration and insurance papers used to be located. Though not recomemded for long international travel where the experts recomend you keep papers on yourself all the time, but great for the rest of us. If you have Touratech panniers the lock used is the same size so you can get an extra lock and have everything keyed alike.

  5. What other's have said.
First time I saw this in the catalog, I just had to have it.
Nice item, good price, easy to install.
Insurance papers some cash and some other items that would come in handy all in a safe hardly noticeable location.
Well done and why I keep coming back!

  6. Caught red handed...
First, of course, I keep my registration and insurance cards in there, and I have for years. But replacing the prior year's cards with the current riding year's information every spring is a Druidic ritual not to be missed. It's always the last sacred rite performed before I take the bike out of the shop for the first spring ride, and it is always freighted with excitement, anticipation and too many other emotions to list. It's almost like it concentrates the whole first ride into one single action.

The second event related to the locking compartment happened last year, on Norman Cty. Rd. 26. I was caught red-handed by a County Sheriff doing 67 in a 55. He asked for my license and registration. I asked if it would be okay if I went to the back of my bike to get it (rules #1 & 2 I learned from my cop buddies: no sudden moves, and ask permission before reaching for anything.) He said I could and stepped around to keep his eye on me. I opened the holder, and he smiled and said, "Boy, is that slick; where'd you get that?" I told him. "I ride a Harley," he said, "And I'm always misplacing those things or they get wet." Then he went back to run my information. He came back and said, "I'm just going to give you a warning, but slow down, okay?" "Sure thing," I said, "and thanks." There was a brief pause, "Could you write down the name of the place you bought that licence plate thing?" he asked.

  7. License Plate Locking Compartment #9078
This compartment idea is inspired and as soon as I discovered it I ordered one! It is well priced, however the postage to Western Australia made it more expensive. Sadly I was not able to mount mine in the area designated as this would put my no plate in a position to obscure the light. (Harley Davidson XL1200C. 2013). Instead I mounted it to the sissy bar rack with Ubolts for security... sadly I was not able to put anything larger than a swiss army knife in then, so I used ziplock plastic ties (less secure, but sufficiently obscured by the bag on top of the rack), and I just managed to get my mobile phone in (Samsung Galaxy S3)! For me it just needs to be 2 inches longer and half inch deeper. That wouldn't help with the no plate light situation, but would make it more usable on the rack (I could get my phone and S/Army kniife in). Am I pleased I bought it - Yes; is it as big as it looks in the picture with all those things in it - No!

  8. First Farkle For My KLR
I had one of these on my old Yamaha dual sport. It worked great - keeping my papers dry all year round. So when I bought a 2007 KLR 650 last weekend, this was the First Farkle I ordered. Looks great and I never have to worry about where my registration and insurance docs are no matter what bag or bags I put on the bike. Bravo.

  9. Perfect Solution
Works great, it's out of the way and I don't know if I would trust it to be water proof or not but I keep my paper work in a ziplock bag inside just incase. Yeah it's only plastic but lets face it, in this world locks are only to help keep an honest person honest, a crook will get what they want no matter what. Must have for ANY biker, especialy off road bikes.
