Freeway Blaster Horn

Originally I wanted to get the 'Ear Cannon' air horn (Stebel Nautilus), but I couldn't find room on my bike to fit it in. After doing some research, I decided to get both the low (F) and high (E) tone 'Freeway Blasters'. I'm VERY happy with them. Since each horn draws 5 amps and I didn't want to melt the horn switch on my bike, I also got the 40 A relay (12V/40A Sealed Relay #4667). I mounted one horn on either side of my front fork on small metal brackets I made, under the headlight with the opening of the trumpets facing down. This way they don't collect bugs, road spray, etc. as you are going down the road. I used heat-shrink tubing to cover the exposed connections on the horns and the relay is mounted under my gas tank, out of the way. These horns are so loud that the sound is not very directional, so you don't lose anything by pointing them down. Don't honk your horn in a closed garage without hearing protection. These guys are seriously loud! By using the two different tones, when I hit the button my bike sounds like a big Buick land yacht. Very helpful when that driver in the next lane starts easing over into my lane without looking.
