Ear Cannon Air Horn
- Product Review (submitted on August 5, 2010):
I bought this horn a while back and after 20 incidents stopped counting how many times it has saved my life - including this morning on the ride in when a guy in a giant F350 decided to change lanes without looking. I live and commute amongst the self-absorbed masses of yuppie iphone wankers here in Seattle and am just absolutely thrilled with the results of this horn. **** Please, Please, PLEASE consult a variety of sources before giving up on installing this horn. I struggled for hours trying to fit it onto my 2002 CBR 954RR until a buddy pointed me to some youtube videos and gave me the tips I needed. The body of the horn (the compressor) separates form the horn itself quite easily. I mounted the compressor under my tail compartment, and with about $4.00 of parts from Home Depot epoxied on a small brass nipple, ran some clear flexible tubing up to the horn and attached the leads to the battery. (*I did by the wiring harness). Once you free your mind from having to figure out how to mount the unit as one piece it totally opens up the options. Due to the extremely limited options for mounting on the 954, I actually ended up drilling some pilot holes into the horn flange and using zip ties to secure it. It's so far lasted 5,000 miles, wheelies, and 152mph run across Eastern Washington...not to mention mixing it up with all the commuters here in Seattle.
