Arai XD3 Helmet
- Product Review (submitted on August 23, 2010):
- After many years of owning Arai helmets I thought I would get one of these for touring. My idea was that I would like the visor to keep the glare out of my face and also get more ventilation with this new "hybrid" style helmet. Well, it does both of those but also introduces some unwanted downforce from the visor that can give you painfull neck strain after several hours of riding. After reading the owners manual, I find the visor can be adjusted up. This made a big difference and is now a lot more tolerable. I bought the helmet in my usual size, but find it tighter on the forhead than my other Arai's. Hopefully this will "break in" with time. Otherwise, the helmet is quiet and well made, as you would expect for this price, but I am not totally sold on it. Unfortunatly you have to purchase one first before finding if it is right for your usage.
