Aerostich Combat Lite Boots
- Product Review (submitted on November 5, 2010):
- Without any doubt, the Combat Lite Boots are the most comfortable and in one word, best boots I've ever worn for motorcycling! Being that I also climb high peaks, I'm somewhat used to wearing mountaineering boots with European sizing. Even so, I had to chuck that knowledge out as I found through talking to the customer service reps and reading other reviews here and on other forums that the Combat Lites size a little smaller than other boots. OK, I took that into consideration and also wanted to add a pair of 'Sole' cushioned and supportive insoles to the boots for added comfort and support... much like I do in my mountaineering boots. Even though I usually wear a size 43.5, I went ahead and ordered a size 45. The first thing I did when I got the boots was to add the Sole insoles to the boots and that took up the extra volume. W/O the insoles, my feet would have been swimming in the 45's. Turns out that the 45 is the right-on size and with the added insoles, my feet could not be happier. Used some Langlitz Dressing to condition the boots and went riding. Absolutely perfect boots! My feet have a little extra room to slightly bend the toes and if I need to add a pair of thin liner socks to the medium thick Bridgedales, I have some room to do so. Walking in the boots (with heels) is fairly easy and the boots have been breaking in nicely the past three months. All in all, the Combat Lites are highly recommended.
