Liquid Crystal Temperature Strips

I use these on my hiking adventures. One goes on my hiking pole to measure air temp. More important is the one on my water bottle. Since hikers have to purify their water by chemical means, we need to know the temp of the water. The colder the water the more of the purification chemical or the longer the wait time. Just slap one on a Nalgene and you are good to go. I even put a couple of coats of clear silicone over the strip to protect it out in the field.
