Touch-Screen Elkskin Ropers
- Product Review (submitted on August 11, 2011):
I ordered two pairs of these, one for myself and one for my husband, since we use touchscreen devices often during our rides and these gloves seemed like the perfect solution to glove on/glove off/stop/start.
The quality of the leather is great - strong yet soft. The fit is another matter. I ordered the smallest size, which according to the sizing chart, should have fit. It did, except for the fingertips, where the electrostatic threads are, were about 1/4 inch too long. (I have an average, well-proportioned hand.) I was very disappointed. Aerostitch carries such great stuff. I'd really love to see some quality functional motorcycle apparel products sized and scaled for women (hint: it's a huge, untapped market!) And no, I don't need it in pink!
To be fair, the pair I ordered for my husband also ran large (I ordered based on his usual glove size and the sizing charts.) They went back in exchange for another pair a half size smaller. Unfortunately, they were also too big (bulky across the palm). I was told a number of other customers also found these gloves ran large.
If/when the sizing issue is addressed, and if/when they're scaled appropriately for a woman's hand, I'd buy several pairs of these in a heartbeat. (And so would all my femaie riding friends.)
