Product Description

Clean, simple, old school straight leg blue jeans...with a great trick: TF3 Impact armor-holding pockets at the knees (sold separately), accessed via a hidden zipper. Armor is removed or replaced in seconds, easily, while wearing the pants. All the rest is classic denim jean spec., with fit and cut similar to Levi's 501s.

Specifically, these are carefully sewn of unwashed dark blue 100% cotton 14 oz denim fabric, which is a bit heavier-duty than the more common 10-12 oz denim, but it still shrinks-to-a-custom-fit after a wash or two, which makes these pants extra comfortable and wear a lot longer.

For protektion there are three generous hidden areas of abrasion resistant Breathable-Waterproof HT 500D Nylon (…as used in many Aerostich suits) located at the seat and knees. For ‘commando’ comfort this extra-abrasion-resistant fabric is backed by soft 100% cotton.

As you’d expect there are five traditional pockets, five belt loops and a reliable metal fly zipper, too. But as you wouldn’t expect, the hidden seat-protective breathable-waterproof abrasion layer means you can sit on a freshly rain-wetted saddle and not get a wet butt. Nice!

The optional knee armor (sold separately at right or below) is positioned in the correct location when riding, and when you’re off the bike it's comfortably flexible and easily removable.

Stitching is double and triple wherever needed, and a crotch gusset provides extra ease and comfort that’s great when mounting up and also as you move around in the saddle.

Fit, quality and protection that’s quick, easy and comfortable. They’ll quickly become your favorite jeans, both on and off your bike. Made here in America. Size 32–30, 32–32, 32-34, 34–30, 34–32, 34–34, 34-36, 36–30, 36–32, 36–34, 36-36, 38–30, 38–32, 38–34, 38-36, 40–30, 40–32, 40–34, 40-36, 42–30, 42–32. Choose Black or Blue. Made in USA

When I get to work I pull the pads out sitting at my desk. When it’s time to go home, the pads go right back in - two seconds - and I’m riding.” - Mr. Subjective 9/09

Protekt riding jeansReview by Keith
Just what I was looking for this summers riding season. Wore them a couple times, got bug remains over the front and gave them a wash. Still pretty stiff after 1 wash which is okay. What is not okay is the ridiculously small zipper for the pads that appears to twist and jam during normal washing. Used candle wax inside and out in order to be able to reinstall pads and close the zippers. Zipper is too fine for this gauge material IMHO. I recommend some enhanced instructions for washing or increasing zipper size. I expect problems over time with the zipper making pads unusable. (Posted on 5/26/18)
Daily Work WearReview by Marcus
I have been riding in and wearing my two pair of Protekt Jeans to work as a professional trainer for over a year. These are my daily jeans for commuting to work and then wearing them all day at work. They look GREAT and I would wear them as selvedge denim jeans even without the protection built in. They look good, wear comfortably, and provide (I suspect, thankfully I've never put them to the test) much more protection than a pair of standard jeans. I use the optional armor, and am thrilled with these pants.

If Aerostich made a matching denim jacket (Canadian tuxedo) I would buy it TODAY and use it as my warm weather / casual / around town riding jacket.

Kudos to the team for another great product. (Posted on 10/13/17)
Best riding jeans yetReview by Craig
Fit is important - I'm 6' 205llbs, the 36x34 worked well - a bit snug, but still breaking in. Length is almost perfect. A little long for street shoes but perfect when on the bike with riding boots. Probably the heaviest denim pants I've ever experienced. The best part really is the removable knee pads. They can me taken out & put back in in seconds. This is a game changer. Quite a clever concept. Especially when riding to work. Should have ordered these jeans before buying a pair of cheaper kevlar riding jeans that do not fit nearly as nice as the ProTekt jeans. Quality ProductReview by Rick
Ordered jeans in size I normally buy levis and the fit is perfect. I washed them four times, still a little too blue, but soft and more comfortable than my regular jeans. The knee pads are in a perfect spot. I am very pleased with the product and delivery. (Posted on 3/31/17)
Summer HeatReview by heffly
I try to buy the best gear I can possibly wear in Alabama's sweltering summer heat. Its a problem when air movement doesn't cool you down. The heat and humidity can make riding unhealthy. I always liked the reputation of Aerostitch clothing but felt the heavy gear would be too hot. I opted for a pair of Protekt Jeans. I recieved the pants and ran them through the washer. Went for a 250 mile ride for testing. I can say they fit great, look good and are more comfortable then the Sliders or Draggin Jeans I have........I appreciate the comfort and protection they provide. I believe the pants, along with my Bohn under armor, will be cool and Protekt me while riding. (Posted on 3/22/17)
Protekt JeansReview by Grant R
Aerostich quality, as usual. These jeans will outlast me, I'm sure--very comfortable and very well made. The knee pads slip into zippered pouches on both legs and are very convenient to remove for washing.

Excellent ProductReview by Jeffrey
Purchased a pair of black Proteck jeans from my favorite moto outfitter. They are very well made and fit as advertised. Like the abrasion resistant material in all the right places, plus after a few times through the wash are comfortable. Buy the knee pads, too. Another value added product. (Posted on 1/10/17)
Good quality but knee pads still too highReview by andy
These riding jeans are very well built and fit just like 501's, maybe just a bit more baggy. Too bad they don't include the TF armour, and you'll have to purchase separately. Love the hidden zipper for them and the no wet butt layer. But as other reviewers have said, the knee pads still sit about 3 inches too high in the riding position. I emailed Aerostich to see if they could modify, but they said they don't make these in-house so they cannot do. Their advertising in a recent catalog even said that they had moved the pad pockets lower due to customer feedback, but they still are too high. I would suggest just making them adjustable like every other brand does with a few strips of velcro to adjust placement. I think they may work better for people with shorter legs < 34. If you are a 34-34, you may want to get the 34-36 so the pads are further down and just roll up or hem the bottoms. Would also be nice if they had 1 or 2 extra belt loops. 5 is just barely enough due to the weight and stiffness of the jeans. (Posted on 12/29/16)
Protekt JeansReview by Sam
Very stiff initially but after 1K miles and a wash the jeans are fitting perfectly. Also the zipper on the left knee T3 armor pocket needed to be freed up due to several loose threads jamming the zipper. Otherwise a good value for the on sale price. (Posted on 10/25/16)
PROTEKTReview by Bob
I've debated about these jeans for well over a year before I finally bought these. Now I wish I wouldn't have waited so long. The fit is very comfortable. Knee pads fall into place for full protection. Very blue to begin with but afte a few washes this begins to change. Heavier denim yes but after wearing them for awhile the stiffness leaves and they are comfortable on the skin. Inner lining on top and knees add to the comfort level. Very pleased with these pants and intend to put a bunch more miles on them. Really hard to beat Aerostitch for function and quality. (Posted on 10/20/16)
