A little-known fact (to us, anyway) is that our U.S. Army Engineers have these rather nice campgrounds scattered around the country and they’re not all that expensive as it turns out. (Our tax dollars at work?) Anyway, this book will show you state-by-state where these campgrounds are located and directions for getting to them, what amenities they offer, and what the costs are for staying. This guide is a useful addition when planning trips and may get you into locations that you did not know existed. A quick scan of the book seems to indicate that a lot of these are located near Corps projects such as dams, rivers, and reservoirs, so go catch a big catfish or something. By Spurgeon L.
