An Introduction to Aerostich Sewing

Become a professional and expert sewer to help us create high quality technical garments and other products, sold factory direct and world-wide. You will experience a clean, comfortable and safe work environment while enjoying a satisfying vocational career making things that matter. We are a 33 year old, Duluth based business using modern Juki sewing equipment to produce and support over 80 different sewn products. Watch a video with more information about available positions below. Immediate FT and PT openings on day and afternoon shifts. $12-$15/hr plus benefits.

Industrial Sewing (Levels 1, 2 and 3):

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a single needle sewing machine, a multi-needle serger, and a binding machine.
  • Read and understand production work orders and related instructions.
  • Inspect production materials (fabrics, zippers, etc) for quality.
  • Select supplies, such as fasteners and thread, in accordance with job specifications.
  • Examine finished products to verify they meet our high quality standards.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks such as replacing needles and cleaning sewing machines.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following our standards and procedures, including wearing required safety gear and complying with legal regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Previous sewing knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  • Enjoy working in our collaborative environment.
  • An appreciation for detail and the desire to create fine products. (Items have a label you sign, along side the others who also worked on that item.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to sit for extended periods
  • Able to lift/move up to 10-15 pounds

Customer Care Associate

Join our team! We have been building our brand name products in the Lincoln Park Craft District for nearly 40 years. We are selling direct to customer from our retail store and online. You will be working with great team members and some amazing customers. Your adventure starts here!

Responsibilities:

  • Positive and professional customer care work practices.
  • Answer incoming calls quickly and efficiently.
  • Enter customer orders.
  • Answer customer service and product related questions.
  • Help customers get sized for motorcycle clothing by phone and in person.
  • Respond to all customer phone/email inquiries.
  • Assist customers in adjacent Duluth retail store.
  • Support team members in other customer service areas as needed.
