Lane Splitting
That’s right, after decades of tolerance by the authorities there, riding between lanes on congested freeways and filtering up to crosswalks at controlled surface street intersections is now officially recognized by law as being safe, congestion relieving and better for everyone. Motorcycles really ARE a social good when the road is shared this way.

Take a copy of this new law and the pro-lane splitting research summary and get the email and postal address of your state representatives here, and download and send them a personalized copy of this ‘we want lane sharing in our state, too…’ letter…and hope that many riders from other districts in your state will do the same.
No way to know if it will take only a year or two to spread across our land (Lane splitting has already been legal in most of the worlds countries for decades…) or if it will take longer, but your actions make a difference. Legalizing lane splitting = more riders and more motorcycles in the mix. So go for it now!
