Aerostich Transit Back Impact Armor Adapter Sleeve

The sleeve is well made and attaches easily in the R3 suit.

I found that I could use the Rev'IT Rv-06 pad that is CE level 2 rated. It fit perfectly in the sleeve.

Given the cost of the R3 suits,I think that this sleeve should be included. Less expensive riding jackets have a back pad sleeve included

Having put this, and the armor, in my R-3 I found that the upright riding position on my GoldWing caused the bottom of the armor to contact the seat. This in turn pushed the top of the suit up a little. It also shifted my seating position forward. I soon adapted to it - minor inconvenience for the added protection. Integration into the suit was flawless.

Recently ordered a complete set of transit pads and adaptors for a darien jacket and pants.

Happy with the pads- they are much slimmer than the TF3 pads which makes the outfit much less bulky to wear daily and more comfortable for touring. The back pad feels much more reassuring due to its larger surface area than the basic pad I had in earlier.

The TF3 pads seem to have more cushioning, but in an impact the transit pads are supposed to absorb impact better. Hope not to have to field test it.
