Aerostich Money Belt

This is my second money belt. Really nice and functional belt but after 5 years of fairly steady use the rather thin pins on the plastic buckle snapped off. Don’t know if the plastic became brittle or perhaps they could be made a little sturdier. Either way if it breaks again after 5 years I’ll probably buy another.

I bought one. Then one day, I had set it down on a bed without closing the latch. And I sat on it. And I broke the latch. So I got another. Now it's the only belt I use as I've been intentionally reducing my curb weight and none of my pants or shorts will stay up.

This is my third belt....over 15 years. Every time I buy one, I can't figure out why they cost so much and every time I buy it anyway because it's perfect in every way...perfection is not inexpensive.

I received this belt when I ordered Darien pants. I prefer the suspenders (really 'braces', but lets not argue about that), which I ordered and use on the Darien pants. I use the belt on all of my daily pants - I don't really care about the money pouch, but I keep a little emergency fund in there. For me it's a great belt - no problem with the buckle. I just ordered another one for my armored riding jeans.

I ordered a replacement for one I misplaced (and have since found!) and it's perfect for my use. I've read other reports complaining about the buckle but I like it. No worries about scratching paint when I lean over the bike.

a lot more money to put in it. It works well. In fact, it works so well, my kid just took it. However, it was empty. He'll have to put his own money in it.

The money belt is a great and convenient way to carry extra cash while traveling both on and off the bike.

The belt is well made and served it's purpose, but it is to narrow and too thin. It should be at least 1.5 inches wide and the thickness of my former military fatigue belt. The buckle worked well and being totally non-metallic saved time when going through security checks.

I have had my money belt for almost 3 years with everyday use. I had my doubts about the buckle when I first got it, but no more. Not sure exactly what it is made of but it works as good as the day I recieved it. I fold 6 bills per stack and pack it full, zipper works flawlessly.
I getting ready to purchase 4 more for my sons. We have had expensive moneybelts and they just don't last.
The Areostich money belt Is a great value!
Plus - it has gone through airports undetected.

The shipping cost was over twice the belts cost. Seems high even for FedEx. Such a small & light package.........

But it got here (Alaska)
