  1. I’ve searched for a year for this great bag!
I have a 2008 Suzuki M50 and the medium size bag is my everyday bag. I have a steel thermos I commute with and the built in holder is perfect. The medium Motofizz bag (unexpanded) holds my workout bag, my padded jacket, vest and a half helmet. Expanded you can add so much more to the bag, the expansion is very generous. I have a separate laptop bag only for easy removal from my sissy bar; I could fit my laptop bag in my medium Motofizz when expanded. I don’t think you’ll need the large bag. Major downside: it isn’t waterproof. I have to put a plastic bag over it when stored outside so moisture doesn’t seep in.

  2. Best bag I have seen
I purchased one of these a few years ago and it has never failed to meet my expectations. It keeps your gear dry, is easy to access while lashed to a bike in foul weather, it has plenty of room and is well made and sturdy to boot! I got the medium size because the length when extended was the same as my tent so that I could put it inside and have less clutter and less equipment exposed. Would I buy another one? Yes! Does it have a downside? Only if you can't resist the urge to take with you more than you need!

  3. Great!
I'm very disappointed … that they changed the color scheme. The black/silver matched my BMW F800ST so well. The new black and dark gray is just not as good looking. Other than that, it's a GREAT bag. Solid, stable, and well built. I have the large (great for camping and long trips, but too big for day to day use. I also have the small. Great for a day trip but a little small for my day to day commuting needs (cold weather gear, rain gear, etc.). This is my "almost every day bag". Best rear bag I have had yet and I have had many!

  4. MEDIUM IS BIG ENOUGH
JUST RECEIVED MY MOTOFIZ MEDIUM SIZE BAG AND IT LOOKS GREAT, WORKMANSHIP IS GREAT, ZIPPERS LOOK LIKE THEY WILL HOLD UP FOR YEARS AND WAS WRESTLING WITH A SMALL VS. MEDIUM, WENT WITH THE MEDIUM AND IT CERTIANLY WILL HOLD EVERYTHING ANYONE COULD POSSILY NEED FOR A 5+ DAY TRIP. gLAD I PURCHASED THIS - PLENTY OF MOUNTING STRAPS, 'D' RINGS AND SPACE - CANNOT WAIT TO GIVE IT A RUN FOR THE MONEY...

  5. Perfect!
This bag is perfect, to use alone or compliment a nice set of panniers. The problems with the rain cover are worth the hassle IMO. The medium bag fits the cargo rack of a KLR 650 like a glove. I plan on buying one for my girlfriend.

  6. So far really sweet
Just got the bag yesterday and took it grocery shopping. First, the fit is the exact size of a KLR650 rear rack, and it secures very well. Second, the design of the bag is perfect, they accounted for more then I will ever need from it. Grocery shopping went well, I put a whole dinner for two worth of food in it, even a 12 pack of glass bottle adult beverages. The bag didn't slide at all for the ride home. I will be buying another one for my girlfriend!!

The medium bag I received was not blue on top, it is grey, no biggie, just letting the color coordinated folks know.

  7. Motofizz bag is the best ever!
This bag carried all of my camping gear on a 9 day trip from California to Montana. Tent, sleeping bag, Thermarest cinched to the top, ground cloth, food, cooking pot, mini-burner, coffee press, food, shoes, etc... Later in the trip, I was even carrying 2 beer growlers (for use at campsite only). Use a bungie net or a Rok-strap to keep the rain cover on, or you may need a new one. I didn't lose mine, but I read the reviews and took the precaution. The rain cover worked very well, kept the rain out both riding and at the campsite.

The detachable side bag is great for taking stuff to the showers, and the thermos holder is more useful than I originally thought it would be. With so many buckles, straps, tie-down loops, a bungie net on top, the drawstring bag under the top cover, there is nothing that this bag can't hold. If done properly, the straps secure the bag very well. The end-loading feature is great, especially when it is raining or if you just need one thing out of the bag. Being able to go through either end or the top means no digging around looking for stuff.

The only downside is that when I tried to order one in 2009, they were already sold out. This was corrected by ordering early in 2010!!

Buy this bag. You won't be disappointed.

  8. Motofizz fit the bill
I bought the medium for the back seat of my 2008 HD Lowrider. I want to comment on all the bitching about it being not 100% weather proof. What is (?) unless your traveling on survivalist trip which must be less than 15% of normal weather riders. Yes the rain cover they supply is large enough for an additional stuff bag to fit under and that's good enough for me. Take the usual net bungie and hold down the rain cover for $157. What submarine are you on! Tons of function and well made. Last year they were on back order and this year I ordered at the last minute and packed the same night. Took it on a 3100 mile ride to Maine/Nova Scotia and it worked as a 4 clip disconnect to take it off every night. Voila', I wish I had it for the last 5 years of rain and anything else. Some people are never satisfied but nobody is more happy it was less than $200. than me.

  9. Nice bag
I bought this bag to go on the back of my R100/7 for a trip to the Black Hills last week. I did 1,650 miles with this bag over 5 days. I also used a magnetic tank bag for easy access (with ziplocks to hold stuff that I want to keep dry). My old Krauser bags are getting unreliable, so I wanted a single bag I could carry in to the hotels. This bag worked great. It was very easy to attach and re-attach. Worked great as soft side luggage once off the bike. The bag was extremely stable at sustained speeds up to 80 MPH and the material very durable. It was easy to get into the main compartment of the bag from either side when on the bike due to an excellent design. The "food bag" holds my helmet for slow rides, or it held my Aerostich Roadcrafter and Darien pants. It would easily hold clothes for a much longer trip but I'm glad I bought the medium because it holds my riding gear plus my clothes. I read the reviews that the bag itself is not rain-proof so I packed my gear in three Sea-to-Summit sil bags. I always use these sil bags for organization, whether backpacking or traveling on an airplane, and they are totally waterproof. After a three hour hard rain (without the rain cover), the jeans that I had put loose in the bag were wet but the bag itself wasn't very wet, so the water probably came through the zippers. My stuff in the sil bags was dry. I will use this bag as my primary travel bag in the future, but I will stick with my Sea-to-Summit sil bags for use inside the bag to guarantee that my things keep dry. The rain cover looks like an okay quality, but it's tricky to get it secured very well since the bag itself has a large outside dimensions. I have two straps with Fast-tek buckles that go around the bag with the raincover on and if expecting an all day downpour I could get it secure and it would be okay. I would buy this bag again for my bike. P.S. I was the only guy out of 7 riders wearing an Aerostich jacket (had it for 5 years) in that three hour rain and I was the only guy to stay dry. My riding companions kidded me at first, but by the end of the trip even the guys on Harleys asked about my jacket.

  10. Why it's worth it...
I had so many bags already... My bike, an FJR1300 with a Givi top box frame, had already gone around the lower 48 with any combination of them strapped behind me with a variety of bungee/quicklok/web strap products designed to give me piece of mind. But there was one consistent problem - I had a large, shifting mass of stuff that felt different rubbing on my back every time I re-mounted it on my passenger seat, not to mention the 5-minute ordeal to get it on and/or off. This bag is built to go. Like most Aerostich products, it is extremely well thought out and executed. Yes... I was a bit put-off when it was delivered and I thought it was made in China (it's Japanese), but I soon got over that when I realized the attention to detail that made this a true rider's seatbag. Not only does it hold its shape due to the cross-straps, as previously mentioned, it also has a design that forms a "U" built of plastic inserts. Every time you pack it the front of the bag feels the same to your back, which invariably rests against it if you have a top box. So, it's comfortable. And it's well-fastened. Easy-on, easy-off and you never worry about it shifting or things flying away in the windblast. The detachable side bag allows you to place expensive stuff in a secure pack that you can take inside a rest stop while leaving the rest of the bag outside with your clothes in it. If I have to go inside somewhere when I have stuff attached to my bike, I want the option of quickly bringing the high value items by just unsnapping a part of the bag. The little cross-strap female connector that serves to make the loose straps presentable when the bag is not on the bike, does double duty. If the pieces fit together snugly, your bag will click into place solidly and you won't have to worry about it. For rain conditions, I used a mesh bungee over the rain cover to keep it from flying off. The side pockets allow for easy access to stuff you shouldn't be putting in your pants pockets. The adjustable cover flap design makes it super easy to throw a big layer of clothing under it as the day heats up, and a waterproof bag just underneath is convenient for storing stuff that got wet before you could get your rain gear on. The medium fits my FJR very well when expanded, and it holds a professional camera monopod and small gear tripod before the clothes pile on top. I had two pairs of shoes and enough clothes for ten days of travel, along with the stuff in the side pockets. Bottom line is that I never worried about it when it was attached and getting it fastened and unfastened is painless. With a little forethought, the innards can be secured from theft unless the thief brings a very sharp knife. I'm actually thinking of getting a small bag for shorter trips. The convenience is unusual for a product that most of us take for granted as being simple enough already. Used it the last ten days on the open road - no complaints. Wish I'd bought it five years ago...
