Elkskin roper reviewThe gauntlet is large enough to go over the sleeves on the Darien Jacket but the snap tab is too short to snap so you have to leave it flop in the breeze, cut it off or add another male snap in the folding part of the gauntlet (that's what I did). A longer snap tab with a couple more male snaps in the right location would cure the problem.
Otherwise, the gloves are very comfortable and the sizing was perfect. With heated grips they work for me into the 30's (1200GS with handguards).Posted on

Bike gloves are softThe gloves are very soft and feel great. I measured my hand and ordered the right size, but the gloves are just a little larger than hoped. I will try washing them and hope they shrink.

Order a size smaller...It was good that I read all the reviews and spoke to one of the phone reps prior to ordering. My various motorcycle (and other) gloves range from medium to extra-large, depending on manufacturer, whether it's American or European sizing, and application for use. On this pair of gloves, I not only went from a 9.5 to a size 9, I also soaked the gloves in hot water for a half-hour and air dried them prior to using. For me, this was the key for obtaining a really good fit. YMMV, but the soaking did no harm to the gloves and they fit almost about as perfect as they could. Enjoy!

My first motorcycle gloves.Super gloves, fit and finish are top notch. Soft and pliable yet still sturdy enough to use as work gloves. I have the uninsulated ones and they're still warm enough for those 45 degree day rides.

28-Month Report - Best Gloves EverBeen wearing the Ropers for a year and a half now and they are by far the best motorcycle gloves I have ever owned. They are even more comfortable now that they are well broken-in. I like the snap closure. There's so much velcro on my gear that things tend to get stuck to other things unintentionally - no problem here! Highly recommended.

My Favorite Riding GlovesThese are my favorite riding gloves; simple, comfortable, easy on and off, relatively inexpensive. Have given them as Christmas gifts to my riding family members and friends. The most recent pair was for my wife. Also have elkskin guantlets and the insulated elkskin guantlets to cover all the seasons.

Great glovesHave had these gloves for a few weeks. Have been great in keeping my hands warm. Good workmanship. Good fit but could be a little shorter in the fingers but could just be my hands.

Roper Gloves are greatAfter a while of admiring these gloves in your catalog and hearing about how great they are from motor officers I bought a pair. Great fit, comfortable, look awesome. Only problem is the fingers are a little too long but liveable and maybe good in the cooler evenings with some space around the fingertips to keep them warm. Keep it up.
