Thigh pads vs knee padsI ordered pants longer than street jeans to be certain of boot top coverage but on a moderately forward leaning ST1300 the knee pads are well above knee and afford no protection. Might be ok for cruisers?

Another "good, but"I agree with two other reviewers that the knee pads aren't positioned well. Mine protect my thighs quite well, but don't quite make it to what they are supposed to protect. The pants fit very well, and the comfort of the gusseted crotch is quite welcome. I really like these pants, but do wish the knee pads were better placed.

good but...Good quality comfortable jeans but the knee pads are a little high for me (inseam 32, ordered 34 to overcome riding up over boot tops). Just barely cover knee - most of pad is just above knee when riding. Needed the extra length, so maybe 32 inseam would place pads just right. Something to consider when ordering..

Very UtilitarianThese Jeans are as described . They look a little funky when walking around ( baggy and the knee pads stick out at the sides) but I don"t care .I do need to pull them down when riding so they cover my knees.Very well made.Overall good local riding protection.

Just As Advertised!Love them! Fit is great. I wear a size 34/30, that's what I ordered and they are right on target. Heavy enough to provide decent protection and still be comfortable. Perfect for short commutes and day rides in good weather. I still wear the Dariens for longer trips. I've worn them to work for two days now and have no complaints. Highly recommend.

Love them!I've been looking for something like this for a while. I had Draggin' Jeans but for some reason they never quite felt right. These feel great! The knee pads are perfectly placed for me (30 inseam). I normally wear a 44 waist and the 42 just barely fits me, so they may run a little large. Very comfortable. Obviously not the protection you would get with full-on riding pants (no hip pads, for instance), but you have knee armor and the heavy denim and double-layering in the seat and knees should help in a get-off. I wouldn't choose these for long-distance and/or high speed riding because you'd want full protection plus some weatherproofing, but for city riding or casual weekend rides these are perfect and you can walk into a store or cafe without looking like an alien.

Worth the asking priceThese are very well made jeans, but could use an adjustment to the knee pad location. When installed the pads on my pair gave no protection to my knee, they were more like an air scoop cause the padding could not reach over my knee and bend to the radius of my knee, good protection to my thigh though. Great looking riding or just every day jeans i'll buy another pair. Love the made in the USA clothing, the hip pocket works great for my cell phone. Hard to find pant made this well, worth the asking price.
