  1. easy install but not loud enough
The install was extremely easy but the horn was not as loud as I would have liked. I only installed the one horn so plan on installing both if you really want to be heard.

  2. Compared to Ear Cannon
I'm very happy with the Ear Cannon I have on another bike, but couldn't fit it onto my GS so decided to try the Fiamm. I got the hi/low combination (2). Unscientifically, they sound about the same volume, but the Fiamm has more of an American car sound, while the Ear Cannon has more of a higher European screach. Both great, it's just a matter of which mounting is more suitable for your bike.

  3. Works better than the OEM thats for sure
I replaced the horns that had just worn out. They were the same brand, one Hi and one Lo. I don't know how long they had been on the bike which has 50,000 miles on odometer but they looked as if they could have been on that long. One of the old ones had stopped working and one worked but not very well. The two new horns are VERY loud. Plenty loud in my opinion. If I ever need to replace them again I will make the same choice and buy these.

  4. Get both horns plus the relay - outstanding!
Originally I wanted to get the 'Ear Cannon' air horn (Stebel Nautilus), but I couldn't find room on my bike to fit it in. After doing some research, I decided to get both the low (F) and high (E) tone 'Freeway Blasters'. I'm VERY happy with them. Since each horn draws 5 amps and I didn't want to melt the horn switch on my bike, I also got the 40 A relay (12V/40A Sealed Relay #4667). There are instructions and diagrams for installing relays and horns all over the Web, here's one: http://www.rattlebars.com/mtz/hornrelay.html. I mounted one horn on either side of my front fork on small metal brackets I made, under the headlight with the opening of the trumpets facing down. This way they don't collect bugs, road spray, etc. as you are going down the road. I used heat-shrink tubing to cover the exposed connections on the horns and the relay is mounted under my gas tank, out of the way. These horns are so loud that the sound is not very directional, so you don't lose anything by pointing them down. Don't honk your horn in a closed garage without hearing protection. These guys are seriously loud! By using the two different tones, when I hit the button my bike sounds like a big Buick land yacht. Very helpful when that driver in the next lane starts easing over into my lane without looking.

  5. Works quite well
I've had one on my Valkyrie for a couple of years. On the few times that I've had to use it in ernest, it really did it's job. Soccer moms beware! The only problem that I've had with mine is that in wet or even very humid weather, the volume of noise from the horn goes south quickly and dramatically. From a blast to a quiet wimper (emphasis on the wimp). Mine no longer works due to having been in humidity of the Pacific Northwest variety for a couple of weeks.

  6. Didn't last long
I installed a set of these (hi & lo) a couple summers ago. The low one stopped working while my FZ1 was garaged over the winter. For the price I'd expect better.

  7. Loud
I bought a pair of Freeway Blasters after my Ear Cannon broke one of the horns off from hitting my front fender, They are not quite as loud, but it is difficult to find room to mount anything on a sportbike, and they definitely do the job.
