Replacement strap system for the no-longer-available replacement buckles and ratchet straps found on the original-type Combat Touring Boots and Combat Lites. Includes parts and instructions to retrofit a replacement ratchet strap for broken CBT boot buckles. Kit is designed to be a do-it-yourself repair kit (you’ll need some basic tools like grinder or cut-off wheel, drill, vise and 1/8” pin punch), or bring kit and boot to a local cobbler for installation. Installation takes about 30 minutes and should last the life of the boot.

CBT Strap Replacement Instructions

More ideal for general touring, everyday urban riding and all day street and general purpose wear. Obviously shorter and lighter, but incorporating the identical heavy duty materials, design features, and construction quality of the original Combat Touring boot. Top grain leather and fully leather lined.

Compared to most general purpose and riding boots, the Lite has fewer individual leather pieces, less seams and is a stronger and longer lasting boot. The inner speed laces and instep buckle provide a better and more secure fit than any slip-on “engineer” type boot. The lower shaft fits riders with extra large calf muscles better, too. The tougher your riding, the better this boot will feel. Combat Touring boots are as strong as the bulkiest specialized off-road footwear, yet are designed to fit easily under your pants for everyday wear. As soon as you put them on you will feel more support and protection than ordinary street boots can offer.

Combat Touring boots are manufactured exclusively for us by Sidi using the best materials and their most experienced bootmakers. They feature quality full grain leather throughout, a Davos competition motocross sole, Scotchlite™ reflective in the heel gusset, generous internal ankle and toe padding, and a special padded collar at the top.

The inner speed lace/cord lock setup with micro-adjustable arch buckle and outer hook & loop calf closure insures a protective, comfortable fit. Combat Touring boots may take slightly longer to form to your feet compared to cheaper boots, but they will outlast them by years.

From time to time, apply any good waterproofing product and they will mostly eliminate the need for carrying rain boots.

If these are your laces, you must have Combat Touring Boots. (This is a do it-yourself installation.) Each lace is 56" long.

For long life and water repellency leathers should be periodically cared for with a quality dressing. Pecard Leather Lotion is the best one we've found. It's based on a long-ago refined formula and is ideal for all for colored and black smooth leathers. Another opaque emulsion. Very easy to apply. Soaks quickly into leather with only a little rubbing and dries leaving a nice dry finish. Two sequential treatments (apply, dry, re-apply, dry, wear) recommended. Not waterproof. Water does not bead but instead re-emulsifies whatever dried residual substances this formula contains.

The boot version cleans, polishes, restores suppleness and provides increased water resistance. It's also still made (since 1902!) in a small northern Wisconsin town by a family owned company founded to manufacture dressings for logging boots, horse-drawn lumbering gear and related equipment. Early woodsmen needed to protect their expensive boots and leather harness gear in cold, wet and harsh environments. The quality and performance of this dressing resulted in a great reputation: Lumbermen and hunters swore by it. Factory workers endorsed it, and Admiral Richard E. Byrd specifically chose the boot dressing to protect gear on his first expedition to the South Pole.

Proven under brutal conditions, this is a leather dressing you count on. It's available around the world in experienced cobbler's shops, and here. Neutral colored formulated paste. Not for use on suede. Choose 4oz. Bottle or 6 oz. Tub.

Odd of name and unusual in its effectiveness, Barge cement is a powerful contact-type cement that is a traditional cobbler’s staple. So it’s great for sticking soles back on boots, and just about anywhere else two flat surfaces need to be re-connected in a durable, weatherproof manner. Great stuff. 2 oz. Tube.

Highly recommended for leather gloves. Opaque liquid emulsion which goes on wet and soaks into pores in leather, helped greatly by rubbing into leather. Not recommended for fabric. Dries leaving a slightly tacky, waxy surface feel which may mostly be buffed away. Tacky-feel also wears away during use. Two applications (apply, dry, re-apply, dry, wear) are recommended to the back-side of glove, with either one fairly light application on palm to limit tacky-waxy effect on grip, or no palm application. Noticeably longer-lasting water-beading than Nikwax Glove Proof. 100ml.

A thick waxy paste that contains some silicones and is popular for boots but though not recommended specifically, may also be carefully applied to the back-sides of gloves. Needs to be worked into the leather by rubbing. Does not completely dry but surface may be buffed out. Leaves a slightly greasy surface feel. Water beads for a long time.

Two-part poly-urethane adhesive with abrasion resistant and waterproofing abilities forms a layer of armor on the toe of your boots. Perfect for shift pad protection. Easy to use. Black.

Probably the most secure place on your person to keep money and valuable papers. Adhesive hook & loop attaches a secret fold-over wallet made of thin nylon to your boot’s inner calf or front gusset. Large enough to hold a bunch of money (or whatever else you don’t want found). For some reason neither thieves nor third world border inspectors check moto-travelers smelly, dirty boots. (?!) Hmmm...at least not Greg’s. Set of two pockets: 3.25"×4.5" and 6.75"×2.75".

The next best thing to a custom prescription orthopedic. Most insoles simply condense and compact under pressure. These are designed with a firm structural footbed that self-molds to your unique foot shape, cushioning and mirroring each foot for increased comfort, control and support. These are rock solid.
