A classic silk scarf should be soft, thin and slippery — so you can wrap one around your neck, close up your jacket and rotate your head and neck all day in draft-free comfort, without chafing. These luxurious 100% natural silk scarves are handmade of a soft, dense weave that’s perfect for riding. No synthetic fiber is warmer, softer, stronger, or more durable.
Silk provides maximum comfort across every temperature range: warm and draft-blocking when cool, and refreshing when worn wetted during hotter conditions. When you’re traveling this durable silk washes perfectly in any sink, too — even with a simple bar of hand soap.
The Standard Scarf model is medium weight silk of sensuous softness, and measures 14"×72". The Competition Scarf model is similar to the standard model but two layers thick, and it is a bit narrower and shorter. It measures 10"×60". Both are premium quality, long lasting pure silk that will keep the wind, rain, dust and snow from blowing down your neck, and will pack away ultra-small inside any pocket.
No other neckwear works this well, or looks this cool.
"I’ve always had a fondness for white silk scarves. They’re good for all occasions."
-- Actress Sharon Stone in ‘Basic Instinct’, 1982.

This is the smallest, lightest compressor we carry and one of the most efficient you’ll find for its size. This stripped-down mini fits in the palm of your hand and will inflate any motorcycle tire in a couple minutes. When a larger compressor is too much bulk to carry along, and CO2 cartridges aren’t nearly enough for your trip, this dedicated pump will deliver continuous pressure without fail. What it lacks in beauty, it makes up for in performance – which is what you really need when you’re flat stranded in the middle of nowhere.
Has a nice long 26" inflator hose, 6' power cord, and packs small in included storage sack. Comes with three adaptors: SAE, cigarette lighter and alligator clips. Lock-down delivery valve fits all bikes. Also comes with carabiner clip, so you can attach the compressor to whatever you want out of the way and off the ground, instead of having it lay in the mud or dirt. Simple, compact, and dependable peace of mind. Pump is 3.5"×3.5"×.9". Packs to 7"×5"×3", 1.3 lb.
Draws 5-6.5amps at 12v. Max pressure - Zero to 90psi (bicycle tire) in about 90 seconds.

Very comfortable and easy to wear—just like Elkskin, but made of slightly thinner medium weight deerskin so they’re ideal for casual, everyday rides, especially commuting and touring. No break-in needed; they will be as comfortable as prewashed denim the moment you put them on. Because they’re so light, absorbent and soft, they provide great control feel. Nimble enough to pick a coin off a table, yet strong enough for riding protection. The insulated versions have 3M Thinsulate and a brushed nylon lining, so they are perfect for spring and fall wear. Full and half sizes for a better and more precise fit. For insulated gloves, order 1/2 size larger than non-insulated version to ensure proper fit. Both styles feature thumb visor squeegee.
The classic all around American general work and riding glove. Reinforcing welt in the thumb and the middle fingers, elastic back. Full and half sizes, Regular (#422) size 7-11, Insulated (#423) size 8-12.

- Aerostich Elkskin Competition Ropers – Gloves Review – The Motorcycle Obsession
Adventure Motorcyclist: Frazier Shrugged is a 21st century reflection of more than 120 years of adventure motorcycling and overlanding, a compendium of nearly 350 pages separating the wheat from the chaff in the world of adventure-seekers using motorcycles as the tool.
Motorcycle adventure and what an adventure is – defined! “If one has no regrets, but also would not want to do it a second time, one probably experienced an adventure.” (Mr. Subjective from the Aerostich Company)
Frazier, America’s best extreme motorcycle adventurer, possibly the world’s best, who coined the term “Motorcycle Adventurism,” laughed and shrugged in this definitive book when asked what is a motorcycle adventure or rider. He said, “Like pornography, I know a motorcycle adventure experience and an adventure motorcyclist when I see or meet one.”
Adventure Motorcyclist: Frazier Shrugged includes professional adventure motorcycle tips, tricks, survival techniques and failures, with the jaded and humorous worldly slant of a motorcycle journalist who has circumnavigated the world six times and ridden motorcycles for over 1,000,000 miles, literally to the ends of the earth.
For the dreamer wannabe, newbie, or advanced adventure rider, it’s an esoteric tome that some ADV riders will not have the mental bandwidth to wrap their head around, while motorheads and travelers alike will have the “Ahhhaaa” moments of recognition. Required reading for academics, historians, researchers and students of adventuring motorcycling. 6"x9" paperback, 358 pages.
Built for hard everyday wear, long trips and extreme adventure and endurance riding. Whether you are heading across town or across Siberia, this is the toughest most reliable single-layer textile jacket and pants available.
The Darien actually was the first armored textile jacket and pants made specifically for long-distance travelers and adventure riders, and today after more than 25 years of continuous improvements and careful refinements it still remains the benchmark for technical motorcycle trip gear.
With its unique single-layer construction there can be no shortcuts. Nothing is hidden under a lining. Hook and loop is used for positioning its comprehensive TF3 or TF6 impact armor systems.
Darien's ride drier and more comfortably across a wider temperature and climatic range. The armor is easier to custom-position for fit or remove and replace as required. Emergency field repairs are easier, too. (Important if you're somewhere remote.)
Exclusive features include a tough abrasion-resistant Mil-spec 500 Denier Cordura® TLTex® breathable/waterproof outer fabric, removable hard shell TF3 or TF6 elbow and shoulder armor, generous 3M Scotchlite™ reflective areas, adjustable anti-flutter sleeve tabs, and removable magnetic collar clasps.
The Darien also accommodates optional TLTec fleece liners that fit perfectly inside this outer jacket. The liner's underarm vent zippers line up, and everything works together perfectly.
Those optional reversible TLTec liners are perfect on cool mornings and for all 'off-the-bike' wear, too. They fold into their own compact zippered pockets, and can be attached to your bike or worn on a belt like a fanny pack. With new construction, an optional zip-in liner zipper (#375) is available at no charge.
Available colors: black, grey, or hi-viz lime yellow. All Darien jackets come with black details. 36–56. Choose TF3 or TF6 armor. Made in America
An ultralight Darien Jacket and pants would make a great urban riding tool (...we said to ourselves). So we build them just this way, using a tough, HT200D Nylon TLTex® fabric. This lightweight Cordura-like material is far tougher than ordinary nylon fabrics of similar weight that offer about a third less abrasion resistance than the regular Darien's stiffer 500D fabric.
On the other hand this lighter weight version provides so much more ease and comfort it's better for many kinds of rugged outdoor activities beyond motorcycle riding.
The Darien Light really comes into its own for commuting and general riding, especially in atrocious weather where it will flat-out work better than whatever you now wear.
The unlined Darien Light Jacket and Pants wear dryer and comfortably across a wide temperature range. Its many integrated features have been rider-proven to work better on all kinds of rides in all kinds of weather.
The Jacket is a lightweight yet hard-as-nails protective system for your upper body that lets you ride in safety and comfort, regardless of harsh conditions. It's light, tough, simple, and practical because that's what works best.
Exclusive features include tough HT200D TLTex® breathable/waterproof outer fabric, removable hard shell TF3 or TF6 foam elbow and shoulder armor, generous 3M Scotchlite™ reflective areas, adjustable anti-flutter sleeve tabs, and removable magnetic collar clasps.
A Darien Light jacket also accommodates a range of optional removable TLTec fleece liners that fit perfectly inside it's breathable/waterproof shell. These liner's vent zippers line up perfectly and fit, feel and work like they were made for a Darien. Which they were.
The optional liners are worn separately beneath an outer Darien Light Jacket they are also perfect alone on cool days for off-the-bike wear. They fold into their own compact zippered pocket and can be attached to your bike or worn on a belt like a fanny pack. With new construction, an optional zip-in liner zipper (#375) is available at no charge.
An optional back pad attaches to all Dariens with pre-installed hook-and-loop. Colors: black, grey, or hi-viz lime yellow. All Darien Light jackets come with black details. 36–56. Choose TF3 or TF6 armor. Made in America

Cut like khakis (and some jeans), these unlined overpants are the perfect match for a Darien jacket. Two front pockets, one back pocket, a flapped front fly, and a waistband with belt loops containing a removable Aerostich belt are some practical details.
Full length side zips with inner and outer flaps insure easy on-and-off convenience and severe weather protection. Bent knees, large 3M Scotchlite™ reflective ankle adjustment tabs and shaped, removable TF3 or TF6 knee armor complete the specifications. 500 Denier Mil-spec Cordura® TLTex® fabric is fully seam taped for comfort and strength. This lightweight, ultra-compact water-resistant/repellent sil-nylon reusable bag packs anywhere and doubles as a functional backpack. Jam one behind the headlight or a side panel and it will stay there until needed. Or toss inside another pack or Messenger Bag.
They are built to last. All seams are reinforced with binding for durability and strength. The handle loops are tacked and bound, then reinforced again – so they won’t pull off. Two draw cord closure straps of flat webbing secure a quick cinch closure. Bottom corners are reinforced with Cordura pack cloth.
The draw cords lock to desired length so they can function as backpack-style shoulder straps. A small stuff-pocket is located high on the interior to double as easy-access storage for keys or a phone.
Carries fine across shorter surface street distances by threading one’s left forearm through the handles so the bag hangs just in front of the left knee, too. Inspired by Mark Lindemann, motorcycle industry veteran and author of ‘The Total Motorcycling Manual’ (#5506). Blue. 4.5"×3.75"×2" (compressed), 19"×20"×18" (expanded).
An indispensable tool for everyday, frequent and utility riders. I carry two every day (!): One is always in the top pocket of my ‘daily’ backpack, and the other wedged between the speedo and headlight of my ‘daily’ motorcycle, for whenever I’m not wearing the backpack. A third LP Bag is also packed with long-distance MC travel gear.
At your weekly grocery store the heavier items go into your messenger bag or backpack, and the lighter stuff goes into this bag, which then hangs from your wrist or forearm directly in front of your left knee for your ___ mile ride home. No need to figure out how to bungee anything on, andno need for saddle bags.
The key is absolute simplicity and spectacular build-quality. These types of bags are generally cheap and crappy. This one is tough and long-use durable with superior stitching and attention to detail everywhere. My first one survived more than twenty years of bi-weekly use, and though it’s now showing wear, it still works fine.
We could never find a nice one of these after several years of looking, so we designed and made one ourselves. This is a versatile lifesaver, and you will not be disappointed.
PS - Similarly indispensable for all bicycle-transportation riders.
-- Mr. Subjective, 6-2024
If you prefer wearing raincovers under your sleeves, these work better and are easier to use. These are exactly the same design as the Triple Digit Raincovers (#442), without the extended gauntlet. For glove sizes S or 7-8, use a size M. For glove sizes M/L or 9-10, use a size L. For size XL or 11+, use size XL. Orange, Black, or Yellow. M–XL.
Made from 3.5 oz/sq yd 40d three-layer breathable-waterproof ripstop nylon.

This is a simple, functional piece of rider’s clothing. The Face Fairing has a hook & loop closure tab that adjustably fits most neck sizes. It can be worn in two positions: like a cowboy outrider, draped low around the neck to warm and protect the chest; or drawn over the nose and mouth when protection from the elements is needed. We now make them with a softer and more comfortable windproof/water resistant WINDSTOPPER® fabric. Hypotenuse 24", Base 16". (XL version hypotenuse is 26".) Black or red.
Additional Information/Resources:
Sheepskin cushions, cools and lets air circulate. When it’s sticky hot, you’ll sit cooler. And when it’s freezing, sheepskin is warm and comfy. Between extremes it’s always luxurious. Sheepskin has long been used by those who sit for extended periods because of how it cushions and vents.
These are luxurious top grade sheepskins, laminated with an Aerostich-exclusive, non-skid 3⁄16" PVC foam mesh base, so they won’t creep around on your saddle, even if you ride aggressively. They also won’t hold or absorb much water. Saddle sheepskin pads help you stay more comfortable, refreshed and alert on long rides. Each pad features eight strategic bungee attachment points, two lengths of adjustable bungee, and four no-scratch nylon hooks for a custom installation. Made in America.
Note: Not recommended for use on leather saddles.
Additional Information:
Small enough to take on all your road trips, these pack into a built-in self-storing pocket about the size of your hand. Overall, it’s half the size of the next smallest full-coverage cover because it’s made from a thinner, lighter fabric. The strong opaque 2 oz siliconized ripstop nylon is plenty tough and keeps water and dust off your bike... it’s widely used in parachutes, sailboat spinnakers, kites and skysails.
The integrated elastic cinch cord tightly snugs all covers close to your bike so it won’t blow off during a breeze, and additional grommets allow for further binding or tying down. The Aerostich label is purposefully placed at the front bottom center, right on the hem, so it’s easy to find the front of the cover.
For improving overnight security at the seediest, darkest motel parking lot, the self-storing pocket on the hem of the cover also doubles as a portable battery powered motion-detecting alarm holder, to scare the pants off of whoever wants to take a peak at what’s below.
Large size covers loaded GS1100’s, Gold Wings and other dreadnought sized machines. Medium fits all sportbikes, standards, dual sports, and sport touring bikes with smaller windshields. Small fits scooters. Seat Saver model fits all bikes, covering vital areas of instrument pod, handlebars, gas tank and seat. Black.
Made from 2oz/sq yd silicone coated Cordura® 33d ripstop nylon.
Total overall dimensions:
Large #1735 - Length 177.5" x Width 136"
Medium #1733 - Length 154.5" x Width 129.5"

The R-3 (Roadcrafter 3) is the third-generation one-piece Aerostich suit. It is 100% waterproof and unlined for maximum airflow, yet slips quickly and easily over your street clothes. Its full-length waterproof zipper entry system is fast, and it doesn’t flutter or flap in the wind. Without a lining, it wears cooler, and with seam-sealed rainproof zippers, you’ll also stay completely dry, even during the wettest conditions.
Each R-3 takes more than an hour longer to manufacture than previous Roadcrafters, but it’s worth it. You’ll enjoy higher levels of performance, comfort, and protection on every ride. And like its predecessor Roadcrafters, the R-3 is constructed of Aerostich’s exclusive mil-spec 500d TLTex® fabric. It’s a strong, long-lasting and highly abrasion-resistant material ideal for this use.
For increased protection, there’s a double layer of this fabric across the seat and 1000d abrasion-resistant layers covering the vital elbow/shoulder/knee areas. Beneath each of these is a superior energy-absorbing system utilizing removable, oversized TF impact armor. Each armor attachment point is adjustable to allow fit to be fine-tuned for comfort and ensure it stays in place for best protection. Separately available hip, spine and chest armor options further increase the R-3’s capabilities.
With its oversized two-slider underarm vents, a two-slider back vent, and magnetic clasps to hold open the fold-down dual-height collar, you ride both cool and protected. As temps drop and when precipitation comes you’ll remain cozy and dry, too, because the adjustable Ultrasuede collar fits comfortably around your neck, even with varying base layers.
Additional features include flap-covered hip-side water-resistant zippers for fast access to your street pants, a hidden pass-thru port for an electric liner power cord, nine strategically placed everyday-useful pockets, a mini-carabiner helmet holder at the upper chest pocket, a highly water-resistant inner wallet/phone/iPod pocket, fit-adjustable ankle and wrist tabs, articulated knees, fit-adjustable waist tabs and an integrated stretch panel across the lower back. There are also oversized 3M Scotchlite® reflective areas across the back, chest, and ankles to enhance conspicuity in low-light conditions.
Over 30 standard color combinations give each R-3 a personalized style, and add-on options include Integrated Boot Raincovers, electrically heated and non-heated Chest Insulation and Impact Pads, an Emergency Medical Info Pocket, and detachable arm and thigh Map and Accessory Pockets.

Jump in, zip up and go. The R-3 'Lights' prioritize every day commuting and errand running. All-in-one protection from weather and other mayhem, with your destination street clothing beneath. Perfect for short-hop on-and-off-the-bike urban use. Also wears great for relaxed day-long rides and on tours of any length.
Advanced zipper and flap designs make this an absolutely waterproof one piece riding suit, and this lighter weight model provides a slightly cooler-wearing experience during hot conditions, too. The suit maintains all the time-tested Roadcrafter design elements for unsurpassed function and a better fit.
R3 Light innovations include completely waterproof zippers, a snap down collar with removable magnetic hold-open clasps, a hidden water-resistant wallet/phone/iPod pocket and custom adjustable impact armor positions.
Options include Integrated Boot Raincovers, Chest Impact and Insulation Pads (Standard and Electric/Heated versions), Boot Raincovers, Back and Hip Armor and all the other Roadcrafter options.
The R-3 Light's 200d HT Nylon outer fabric, plus a hidden layer of 500D fabric at the elbow/shoulder/knee areas, has an abrasion resistance about two-thirds that of an R-3, but still provides real-world protection. May also be worn without any of its Impact Armor for weather or abrasion protection that packs away very compactly.
Twelve color combinations: Grey, Black, or Hi-Viz body colors with Grey, Black, or Hi-Viz abrasion areas. Standard machine washable (with removal of collar magnets). Men's 34 regular and 36–54 short, regular or long. Women's 2-20 short, regular or long. Choose TF3 or TF6 armor. Made in America
