Of all the modern general-purpose lubricants we've tried, this is by far our favorite. It provides noticeably superior lubrication for brake, clutch levers, throttle cables…waterproof zippers...and just about everything else you want to work more smoothly, too. It's neat and clean, not oily. The lubricant's secret is that it contains a suspension of microscopic (nano?) Teflon® particles in a fast-evaporating carrier.

The great lubricating properties last a long long time. The formula is silicone free, too. And it protects against rust and oxidation and doesn't attract dirt or grime. Going beyond the stuff available at the hardware store, Boeshield was developed by the aviation industry giant Boeing, as a protective coating that penetrates deeply into fasteners and fixtures, displaces moisture and attacks corrosion, and then drys to a clean waxy film. Not only that, but it will help loosen rusted parts and will not harm paints, plastics, or vinyl. Useful for all the places you’d use more pedestrian formulations like clutch cables, pivots and linkages, and even battery terminals and other wiring that may be exposed to the elements. Easy trip insurance. Two styles of side release buckle and a ladder lock, offered in two widths: ¾" (20mm) and 1" (25mm). The one-pin ladderlock replaces ladderlock buckles found on backpack shoulder straps and compression straps. The two-pin side release buckles are a direct replacement for nonadjustable buckles such as those commonly found on dry bag closures and V-pull style waist belts.
