More than common and generic ‘outdoor’ fleece jackets, these are both tailored and engineered for riding. Each Aerostich fleece jacket is made right alongside the Roadcrafters and Dariens, and is designed to work perfectly within all of your riding gear. It’s a warm, draft-blocking, comfortable, lightweight layer of insulation perfect for three and four season rides. They wear wonderfully off-the-bike, too.

The details make a difference you can feel. We start with genuine Polarfleece (The original…there are many inferior copies) and YKK zippers. Each collar is tapered for more comfort with a helmet strap and the sleeve diameter is trimmed down for less bulk under riding gear. Sleeves are more forward rotated, too. And the long underarm ventilation zippers match Roadcrafter suits. Durable Lycra/nylon bindings at the hem and sleeves are comfortable and stop drafts without absorbing water.

The torso is also a bit shorter in front and longer in back for a better fit, and the sleeves are usefully a bit longer than you’ll find in typical fleece jackets. Zippered inside and outside chest pockets secure valuables like wallets, and zippered side pockets are placed slightly forward for easier access. The grey TLTec Wind Pro model features a thick, dense 200 wt. wind resistant “super fleece” which is extremely breathable yet provides 4x better insulation and more draft resistance than common department store fleeces.

The blue TLTec Wind Blocker version is made with a slightly thinner and even more highly windproof 100 wt. fleece that offers 2X faster moisture wicking than other windproof fleeces, while retaining good breathability for all day comfort. It's also marginally more compact-to-pack. Because of its slightly more wind-blocking TL Tec, it also offers a bit higher insulation level (as measured in lab testing) than the noticeably thicker Wind Pro model.

Wear either as a cold weather comfort layer inside a Darien Jacket, or alone as a casual/off-bike jacket. Wherever you are going, both eliminate some of the weight and bulk of traditional liners, and both are equally long-use durable. They both feature a durable water repellent (DWR) finish to keep you drier and more comfortable thru the wettest conditions.

Either version will wear a good deal warmer than you'd expect on cool mornings, and both compliment a Darien jacket perfectly. With all new Darien jacket construction an optional zip-in liner zipper (#375) is available at no charge, but most wearers prefer to simply wear these together, without this complication. These comfy 100% cotton shorts are great for wearing under a riding suit or anywhere. And everywhere else, too. Hand-made quality using a mid-weight cotton twill that gets soft and more comfy with each laundering. An elastic waistband and adjustable front belt, and two side pockets to hold stuff. Closely patterned after the standard Aerostich Darien liner, this electrically heated version provides an under-jacket environment that's always a lot warmer than the outdoor ambient. Enjoy a cozy micro-climate which can be up to 30º warmer than outdoor ambient.

Three heating circuits provide warmth through the sleeves, body and collar. The sleeves use a slightly 'hotter' heating wire due to the liner's slightly looser fit.

This liner is reversible for all wearing situations and features a built-in self storing pocket, a convenient cord storage pocket, and a lighted on/off switch on a coil-cord. The WINDSTOPPER® fabric shell blocks drafts 100% and packs down nicely for storage.

*ELECTRIC LINER COMPATIBILITY: 2006 and newer BMW CAN-bus outlets are limited to 5.0 amps. Kanetsu Electric Liner (#267) and the Kanetsu AirVantage Electric Liner (#291) draw 5.5–5.7 amps, so the CAN-bus shuts down the circuit. The Kanetsu Electric Vests and Kanetsu Airvantage Electric Vests are ok because they draw less amps (no heated sleeves). All Kanetsu Liners can be used with the 2006 BMW's if a fused outlet is attached directly to the battery (BMW Accessory Socket #108 and In Line Blade Fuse Holder #4664 with a 10 amp fuse) or if a 1.25 ohm resistor is inserted in the BMW accessory outlet circuit.
