On extended trips you can count on experiencing higher elevations, all-day cold snaps, or some chilly early starts. These pants are made to a functional, comfortable pattern and pack light and small. For ventilation and convenience, #5 YKK two-way zippers run down the inside, just like the Roadcrafter pant design, so they go on easily, even over boots. Step through the right leg, attach the top left full length zipper and slide both zippers down. Putting them on is faster and easier than changing into long underwear. Many riders wear them over their jeans and under a riding suit. They provide a remarkable amount of extra warmth. Blue or Green. Machine wash. S (28-30), M (32-34), L (36-38), XL (40-42), XXL (44-46). Made in USA
Additional Information/Resources:
Very comfortable and easy to wear—just like Elkskin, but made of slightly thinner medium weight deerskin so they’re ideal for casual, everyday rides, especially commuting and touring. No break-in needed; they will be as comfortable as prewashed denim the moment you put them on. Because they’re so light, absorbent and soft, they provide great control feel. Nimble enough to pick a coin off a table, yet strong enough for riding protection. The insulated versions have 3M Thinsulate and a brushed nylon lining, so they are perfect for spring and fall wear. Full and half sizes for a better and more precise fit. For insulated gloves, order 1/2 size larger than non-insulated version to ensure proper fit. Both styles feature thumb visor squeegee.
Gauntlets increase the coverage and work better in cool riding conditions. Tuck ‘em in or pull ‘em over. Full and half sizes, Regular (#424) size 7-11, Insulated (#425) size 8-12.

On extended trips you can count on experiencing higher elevations, all-day cold snaps, or some chilly early starts. These TLTec pants are made to a functional, comfortable pattern and pack light and small. A hat like this is a simple thing. It seems. But not really. The purpose of this cap is to be compact enough and light enough to be able to be stored un-noticably in the front long-zip pocket of any of an Aerostich (or other) riding suit or jacket, so when your helmet comes off you can protect your head, and shield the sun from your eyes.
For most riders this will be a Game Changer: Feathers are the better low-temp mid-layer beneath riding gear because they squish thin where needed and expand and fill irregular spaces and block drafts best. If you've never worn one of these modern puffys under your gear, you won’t believe the difference in comfort it makes. This functional simple ultralight one is perfect under any gear and plenty warm off-bike as well. Its cut is non-restricting so you will always move more freely. Two zippered side-entry pockets and two interior pockets make it car-around versatile, and its 380T high-density nylon shell is both wind-resistant and comfortable for all-day wear. Elastic windproof cuffs complete the spec. Responsible sourced (RDS) 100% down (90/10 goose/duck down), 550 fill power. Shell and lining both DWR water-resistant treated. Stows small in an included separate pouch. S-XXL (sizing runs slightly large). Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry with a tennis ball, low temp. Black.
I was gifted this exact jacket about eight years ago and it’s still going strong after lots and lots of wear. These days I need to pay slightly more attention to connecting the zipper carefully compared to when it was newer, but overall it still works perfectly. This was my first lightweight down mid-layer for riding, and since my first time wearing it under a riding suit on a cold day, I’ve never looked back. See it in use in the video blog we made about winter riding last year called 'Experiments in Unwise Stoicism'.
Far better than 'afterthought' jacket liners. More durable, comfortable, functional and versatile.
Their reversible design includes seven purposeful pockets in a black Supernyl fabric shell, including dual hand-warmer pockets, a side entry drop-in ergonomic left side chest pocket, a top opening chest pocket on the right side, two large zippered compartments behind each hand warmer pocket and a large zippered pocket across the lower back that the entire jacket to self-stores neatly within for packing and travel. Inside-out when packed, with integrated webbing loops so it may be safely attached to your bike, or worn on a belt like a fanny pack. Also works well as a sleeping or reading pillow when camping.
The wearable-both-ways liner also features underarm zips which perfectly match those on Darien jackets to provide superior venting adjustability and more comfort across a wider temperature range. You'll also appreciate the handlebar-friendly longer sleeve lengths, a just-right collar height and the comfortable stretch knit wrists and waist.
Because they are reversible this liner may be worn fleece-on-the-inside for great air-trapping warmth, or reversed to help it slip on or off faster within a Darien (or any other) outer jacket.
The grey TLTec Wind Pro model features a thick, dense 200 wt. wind resistant “super fleece” which is extremely breathable yet provides 4x better insulation and more draft resistance than common department store fleeces.
The blue TLTec Wind Blocker version is made with a slightly thinner and even more highly windproof 100 wt. fleece that offers 2X faster moisture wicking than other windproof fleeces, while retaining good breathability for all day comfort. It's also marginally more compact-to-pack. Because of its slightly more wind-blocking TL Tec, it also offers a bit higher insulation level (as measured in lab testing) than the noticeably thicker Wind Pro model.
Wear either as a cold weather comfort layer inside a Darien Jacket, or alone as a casual/off-bike jacket. Wherever you are going, both eliminate some of the weight and bulk of traditional liners, and both are equally long-use durable. They both feature a durable water repellent (DWR) finish to keep you drier and more comfortable thru the wettest conditions.
Either version will wear a good deal warmer than you'd expect on cool mornings, and both compliment a Darien jacket perfectly. With all new Darien jacket construction an optional zip-in liner zipper (#375) is available at no charge, but most wearers prefer to simply wear these together, without this complication. It's faster and easier. Machine washable. Sizes 36-54.

Oh God a do-rag. If you need one of these, I guess you know who you are. Useful for looking like some sort of medieval village idiot as well as keeping your hair tidy and your helmet non-nasty. Washable, highly breathable moisture wicking COOLMAX® microfiber material. Black/Gray. Comfortable ergonomic patterning and flat lock stitching. This one is really nice.
It doesn’t get any simpler than this. The more you ride, the less you drive. The less you drive the more you have — more fun, more time, more money, more gas, more piece of mind... Classic. Retro. Style. Back logo is small and up by the neck. 100% cotton. Burnt orange. T-Shirt (M–XX).
Electrify any jacket's performance with a Kanetsu liner. Closely patterned after the standard Aerostich Darien liner, this electrically heated version provides an under-jacket environment that's always a lot warmer than the outdoor ambient. Enjoy a cozy micro-climate which can be up to 30º warmer than outdoor ambient.
Three heating circuits provide warmth through the sleeves, body and collar. The sleeves use a slightly 'hotter' heating wire due to the liner's slightly looser fit.
This liner is reversible for all wearing situations and features a built-in self storing pocket, a convenient cord storage pocket, and a lighted on/off switch on a coil-cord. The WINDSTOPPER® fabric shell blocks drafts 100% and packs down nicely for storage.
Includes: fused, lighted coil cord hookup and power switch. 75 watts/5 amps*. Specify QuiConnect 2, SAE or BMW connectors. Black. 36–54 regular.
*ELECTRIC LINER COMPATIBILITY: 2006 and newer BMW CAN-bus outlets are limited to 5.0 amps. Kanetsu Electric Liner (#267) and the Kanetsu AirVantage Electric Liner (#291) draw 5.5–5.7 amps, so the CAN-bus shuts down the circuit. The Kanetsu Electric Vests and Kanetsu Airvantage Electric Vests are ok because they draw less amps (no heated sleeves). All Kanetsu Liners can be used with the 2006 BMW's if a fused outlet is attached directly to the battery (BMW Accessory Socket #108 and In Line Blade Fuse Holder #4664 with a 10 amp fuse) or if a 1.25 ohm resistor is inserted in the BMW accessory outlet circuit.
Additional Information/Resources:
These Competition Laces are designed to be more durable and convenient to use than the standard laces. The tighter weave nylon material frays less does not stick to the hook area of the boot flap. The slightly longer 60" overall length allows custom cut-to-length for a perfect fit for your boots and less excess lace to tuck under the outer flap. Cordlock not included—we recommend re-using the cordlock from the existing laces.
“Yep, it’s me.” Iconic full-size image of the stumbling, overconfident outlaw biker and leader of the Ratz and Mice motorcycle gang from the 1960s Beach Party movie series. Wordlessly proclaims “Stand aside everyone! I take large steps!” We think Eric would like this one, and when Eric Von Zipper likes someone, dey stay liked. 100% Cotton. Red. M-XX.
...is more fun on a bike. It’s a lot more fun, and so is wearing this t-shirt, since it makes both riders and non-riders pause and smile. If anyone asks why, you either smile enigmatically like a happy Buddha, or take them for a ride. This approach is a whole lot better than the stupid, arrogant, condescending shirts that read ‘if I have to explain it, you wouldn’t understand’. What self-absorbed baloney.. This is the real thing. 100% cotton M-XX.
This classic tee brings a touch of humor to your everyday rotation. Crafted from 100% preshrunk cotton that holds its shape wash after wash, it's built to last through countless wears. Available in sizes Medium through XXL, there's a perfect fit for everyone. Slip it on and let your witty side show. Made in the USA.
Workdays are usually filled with stress and deadlines, but getting to work (and commuting back home again) on two wheels can easily be the best part of your day. Go ahead, throw a leg over. Twist the throttle and take a well-deserved brief escape from the everyday routine. Because every ride really is a vacation. Heck, you could even take the long way and avoid traffic. Don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone... Enjoy every ride. 100% Cotton. M-XXL. Light Grey.
Recommended for both leather and textile gloves. Goes on wet and penetrates and requires rubbing into leather or fabric. A very thin, very runny opaque emulsification that soaks in and dries to a nearly unnoticeable dry-feeling finish. Two sequential treatments (apply, dry, re-apply, dry, wear) recommended. Fairly long lasting. Water beads nicely for some time thru moderate rain exposures.
A belt buckle with a Phillips screwdriver blade, two regular screwdriver blades plus five metric and five SAE bolt wrench sizes...and a bottle opener. Use it like this: 1. Take off belt. 2. Pants fall down. 3. Attempt to tighten or loosen a screw or bolt using specialized ‘Kool Tool’. 4. Severely skin knuckles due to inherent configuration issues not obvious at purchase. (Blood flows, curse optional.) 5. Attempt to open nearby beer to treat pain from injury described previously. 6. Discover bottle does not have twist-off cap. 7. Regret never learning any trick ways to open bottles without an opener. 8. Successfully deploy emergency opener tool from buckle. 9. Drink beer and obtain relief from recent knuckle injury. 10, 11. and 12. Repeat nine until you no longer care your ‘Kool Tool’ belt is almost useless except for occasionally opening non-twist beer bottle caps. Smile drunkenly, knowing you are now older and wiser. Well-sewn web belt is 1.5” wide. Medium (38”) or Large (42”). Black.
Advanced anti-fog protection. These single use packets will be ready when you need them on a chilly morning or at a rainy gas stop. Five single use packets.
Wicks into and seals seams and zipper tapes. Dries in only a couple of hours. Ideal for permanently repairing tents and leathers. 1 oz. tube comes with a syringe applicator. Kit includes two 2" patches, brush applicator, and storage container. Urethane base.

The classic motorcyclists’ riding belt. Used for years by off-road racers and recreational dual sport riders, the Gold Belt’s support is valuable for on-road rides as well. Whether you ride an ST, a GS, or a KLR, the added comfort this belt provides will enable you to ride farther harder and feel it less later. (Makes you look like you don’t have a big ol’ gut, too.) Black. Specify size: Professional (7" tall, 25"–36" waist), Regular (8" tall, 27"–36" waist), XLarge (8" tall, 36"–44" waist), XXLarge (8" tall, 36"–48" waist).
You know who you are. You’re among friends here...but across the world of ordinary people, regular workplaces, common hardware stores, consumerized shopping malls, offices, workshops and chain grocery stores…the Road Grimed Astronaut goes a long way. Because most people have no idea.
Let us explain. Do people in grocery stores and gas stations see your onesie coverall or teched-out armored adventure suit as peculiar? Have you ever ridden past a bedraggled looking group of bevested and bechapped riders standing around under a freeway overpass smoking cigarettes and waiting for the rain to stop…and did you smile inside your helmet as you went by? Do bearded hipsters regard the uncoolness of your wonderful habiliment from saddles of their fenderless aircleanerless purified bikes or (more likely) thru their car windows as you ride by them in traffic on a cold dark day?
If some of this is slightly familiar, you are a Road Grimed Astronaut. You have the right stuff. So you might want this.
Additional Information/Resources:
You may not speak or read Chinese (neither do we), but 1.3 billion people do, including a Chinese-based customer who thought the characters for Ai Si Qi are a meaningful translation for Aerostich. Makes a statement, and in our opinion is a cool looking shirt design, too. You be the judge. Actual Mandarin translates as “Love and Think Riding” or “Happy Good Rider” or something. Made in USA. 100% Cotton. M-XXL. Green.
This BMW switch coil cord easily connects your vest or liner directly to the standard BMW accessory socket on your bike. (BMW Socket (#108) is available separately and requires additional wiring to connect to the motorcycle battery).
Additional Information/Resources:
For hours-long-comfort or bikes with older charging systems, this digitally regulates the amount of power to the garment, allowing you to set (or adjust) your vest or liner's maximum heat, or to the exact balance point where the battery continues to be charged. (Reassuring on dark, cold, wet, miserable nights when you need driving lights, heated clothing, and a gadget or two.) Features a rotary on/off switch with an LED that blinks faster as you turn up the heat. Plug-and-play with SAE connectors on a 16 3⁄8"(for connecting to the bike), and a 17 5⁄8" (for connecting to your garment) cord. 1.5"×2.25" ×.75".
That cool bike you've got sitting between your legs is officially recognized by the U.S. Federal Government as much more than an amusing toy. These are exact replicas of the signs above the HOV lanes across the freeways of California. They are a reminder that motorcycles are given extra privileges because riding them is social good. We all know that. Unfortunately most of your neighbors don’t. They’re positive motorcycles are self-indulgent toys -- Including yours. Let them know all fifty states have a totally different view, and have installed signs like these above our busiest and most congested roads to announce and declare: MOTORCYCLES OK. Officially. No equivocation. The government knows that choosing riding helps all of us, every time a rider gets on their motorcycle instead of getting into a car. (...thanks Brian)
