This connector is used as a suit side entry pocket pass-through, and eliminates the need to thread the power wire through the side entry zip in one piece suits. The SAE end plugs into the electric garment, ending in a QuiConnect 2 coaxial male connector (inside the suit). Captured by the side entry zip or powercord port, this connects to a 6.5" QuiConnect 2 female wire with an SAE end to connect to the standard switch coil cord (outside the suit). Probably the most secure place on your person to keep money and valuable papers. Adhesive hook & loop attaches a secret fold-over wallet made of thin nylon to your boot’s inner calf or front gusset. Their reversible design includes seven purposeful pockets in a black Supernyl fabric shell, including dual hand-warmer pockets, a side entry drop-in ergonomic left side chest pocket, a top opening chest pocket on the right side, two large zippered compartments behind each hand warmer pocket and a large zippered pocket across the lower back that the entire jacket to self-stores neatly within for packing and travel. The grey TLTec Wind Pro model features a thick, dense 200 wt. wind resistant “super fleece” which is extremely breathable yet provides 4x better insulation and more draft resistance than common department store fleeces.

The blue TLTec Wind Blocker version is made with a slightly thinner and even more highly windproof 100 wt. fleece that offers 2X faster moisture wicking than other windproof fleeces, while retaining good breathability for all day comfort. It's also marginally more compact-to-pack. Because of its slightly more wind-blocking TL Tec, it also offers a bit higher insulation level (as measured in lab testing) than the noticeably thicker Wind Pro model.

Wear either as a cold weather comfort layer inside a Darien Jacket, or alone as a casual/off-bike jacket. Wherever you are going, both eliminate some of the weight and bulk of traditional liners, and both are equally long-use durable. They both feature a durable water repellent (DWR) finish to keep you drier and more comfortable thru the wettest conditions.

Either version will wear a good deal warmer than you'd expect on cool mornings, and both compliment a Darien jacket perfectly. With all new Darien jacket construction an optional zip-in liner zipper (#375) is available at no charge, but most wearers prefer to simply wear these together, without this complication. One of the best technology crossovers from bicycling to motorcycling is padded, stretchy shorts. If you’ve never worn these things on a long ride, you owe it to yourself to try a pair. They seem to add another couple hundred mile range to a day, as they keep fatigue at bay longer than yer basic briefs. Clean, simple, old school straight leg blue jeans...with a great trick: TF3 Impact armor-holding pockets at the knees (sold separately), accessed via a hidden zipper. Armor is removed or replaced in seconds, easily, while wearing the pants. All the rest is classic denim jean spec., with fit and cut similar to Levi's 501s.

Specifically, these are carefully sewn of unwashed dark blue 100% cotton 14 oz denim fabric, which is a bit heavier-duty than the more common 10-12 oz denim, but it still shrinks-to-a-custom-fit after a wash or two, which makes these pants extra comfortable and wear a lot longer.

For protektion there are three generous hidden areas of abrasion resistant Breathable-Waterproof HT 500D Nylon (…as used in many Aerostich suits) located at the seat and knees. For ‘commando’ comfort this extra-abrasion-resistant fabric is backed by soft 100% cotton.

As you’d expect there are five traditional pockets, five belt loops and a reliable metal fly zipper, too. But as you wouldn’t expect, the hidden seat-protective breathable-waterproof abrasion layer means you can sit on a freshly rain-wetted saddle and not get a wet butt. Nice!

The optional knee armor (sold separately at right or below) is positioned in the correct location when riding, and when you’re off the bike it's comfortably flexible and easily removable.

Stitching is double and triple wherever needed, and a crotch gusset provides extra ease and comfort that’s great when mounting up and also as you move around in the saddle.
