You know who you are. You’re among friends here...but across the world of ordinary people, regular workplaces, common hardware stores, consumerized shopping malls, offices, workshops and chain grocery stores…the Road Grimed Astronaut goes a long way. Because most people have no idea.

A few years ago a customer sent us a postcard featuring this 'Motorbike Monster' painting by award-winning German artist Michael Sowa. Art can be very subjective, so we’ll leave it up to you to as to the meaning of this one, but we thought it was cool enough to share. The title of the original is “Ohne titel zwei”, which translates to “Without title two”...leaving it open to even further interpretation. Regardless of that, it seems like Michael understands a bit about riding’s relationship to our inner lives. If this painting speaks to you, or if you know a rider who might enjoy it, get them a framed 8.5x11" print mounted in a classic black 11"x14" frame with mat, or prominently display the large 29"x20" poster print on the wall in your home, office, garage or workshop.

A self-priming fuel transfer system. No matter where you are, this ultra compact system won’t leave you stranded for long. Throw away that length of gnarly old hose and safely siphon fuel from any gas-powered device without getting a mouthful of gas.

This is one siphon that doesn’t suck. Simply insert the self-priming end into any non-empty gas tank, and put the other end into the transferring container/carrying case (that works a heck of a lot better than a crinkled Mountain Dew can). A few up and down motions and you’ll be siphonin’ away. The handy stopper clip maintains siphoning even when in the “off” position, so there’s no need to begin the process all over again between container transfers to your tank. The included super soak towel quickly cleans up any excess spills and everything fits neatly back into the transfer container/carrying case. Found this sticker in a Japanese bike shop. It reads “Dangerous person. If you touch me, I will be cut off”, and means “If you touch my bike, I will snap and go off”. 3.5" diameter.

In person John was simply and quietly outstanding and force-of-nature unstoppable. He was gentle, funny, strong, humble, kind, generous, self-aware, mischievous and absolutely indomitable. He was also — and by far — the very strongest, best and most accomplished long-distance endurance motorcycle rider in the world. He challenged himself to accomplish the impossible and did, again and again. His untimely death in a motorcycle accident on a clear, sunny Sunday morning (October 13th, 2013) was devastating to his family, his friends and the endurance riding community.
